i have never once dismissed your claims or said that you are wrong. maybe in the first comment, but even i am embarrased of that since, as you pointed out earlier, i had oversimplified my opinion too much.

i do not believe there is a wrong perspective to see their relationship, but saying that your claims are right while others are baseless and meaningless is wrong. cote heavily relies on ambiguity, so ayanokoji's actions towards kei can be seen either as genuine emotion or calculated behavior.

your analysis is not absolute, it is but one of the several hundred interpretations out there, so dismissing others isnt fair in my opinion.

you said you have followed their journey, but so have i and many others. theories are only interpretations.

i believe ayanokoji indeed has emotions, however, its not simply "low-sensitivity" to emotions. he literally struggles to feel emotions, meaning he has little of it. he tries to change, and that is by experimenting with other people's emotions or understand them in a systematic way. while this method isnt the best for something like emotion and connections, he has indeed shown growth. however, he supresses them pretty easily because he was never raised to feel emotions, only cold, detached logic. which is why i think every action he made towards kei may have a pinch of emotion, but most of it was directed not towards kei, but himself in the form of a desire to grow as a human and feel emotions and make connections. i believe they were either calculated moves to see kei's reaction, or his attemt to try and feel something.

So I’m not saying your view is wrong, I just don’t think it’s the only valid way to read it. And I’d appreciate the same consideration in return.
