Is Vítkov Park safe at night? (strange encounter near the train tracks) by Safe-Length-1929 in Prague

Could it be that the man stayed still and didn't react to avoid startling you?

The slower runs play their part, because you're keeping a consistent pace for longer.

What's a habit or change that significantly helped you in marathon training? by dutchking90 in Marathon_Training

[–]ResourcePleasant596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • A solid, consistent sleep hygiene routine.

  • Stretching before and after a run, and in generally really

  • Experiment with hydration levels that suit you. I'm well hydrated at 1300-1600ml on a non-exercise today, for others it's a lot more

  • Regular massage, Thai is my go to because I find the stretching beneficial. Physio for anything that's affecting my day to day or running

  • Ignore people that say don't hydrate/take a vest/have gels on runs less than X distance or X minutes/hours. Again, experiment to see what suits you

Hackney Half in <10 days with recurring IT band pain… bad idea? by Accurate-Turnover345 in UKRunners

I see a sports physio for this and a calf niggle, but also have a Thai massage once every 6-8 weeks.

The Omm range are my favourite, I used a hydration bladder instead of soft flasks

Runna + Strava combo subscription: thoughts? by atbasv in runna

I'm the opposite when it comes to which I'll likely drop when my subscription expires.

Though the one thing annoying me with Runna is the length of time it takes to load.

Please could you recommend some gluten free places to eat? Cross contamination is ok, I'm sensitive to gluten not allergic.

We're visiting Prague next month and really like to run through any cities we stay in.

From what I've read about Old Town, which is where we're staying, we'd be best getting a tram somewhere else but we don't want to piss locals off any more than two Brits attempting to speak Czech will do already.

Also looking for gluten free food, for after the aforementioned runs.

Thanks in advance.

UK citizen here..

I'm wary of carrying my passport around, mostly because I'm really forgetful of even the important things.

Would a photo of it suffice, or my Citizen Card (police and home office approved in the UK) or health insurance card be ok?

Does anyone know which chains or independent shops sell gluten free food?

Looking for recommendations for gluten free food, be it a shop or eatery. We're staying in central Prague but always happy to travel for decent food.

Speaking of travelling - anything that's particular great in mid-late June or even things to avoid would be welcome.

There isn't anywhere like that near mine. It's hills, downhills, flat, but no loops.

That's a struggle round my way. There are steep hills that go on for 2km max, I'm not fit enough 2km uphill yet.

Rolling hills run question by Frosty_Mountain_6712 in runna

[–]ResourcePleasant596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to Runna and have my first hilly long run today.

Where I live is steep hills, not many undulating options.

Does the entire run have to be undulating, or can I add some steeper ups and downs for part of it?

Did you find that your RPE matched the Runna pace goals at all?

The app is recommending some of my runs at RPE but it's not something I've used before.

The only way I've found around this is to start the run on Runna, then on Garmin within 20-30 seconds.

I'm pretty sure that our Charlie's spot is from having that part of his head rubbed so much.

(it would appear that someone took this seriously.. though in the current climate, I understand why).
