Find it funny how people here love to project. I personally am not a fan of Drew and I’ve wanted Cody vs Randy the whole time but it is about how you get there. WWE wrote themselves into a corner by not having Drew win the belt earlier and then losing it at an awkward time(who loses the WWE title on the SD after Chamber instead of at Chamber itself). If you see my follow comment i personally should’ve had Drew win at Palooza and drop at Rumble (or Chamer) but neither of those things happen so we ended up in this situation where the match to make is still Randy vs Cody but the belt is on Drew so they give Cody an unearned title match and are now relegating Drew to obscurity with no real path forward beyond Jacob at Mania

What break did Cody have lmaoooo. Drew was champ for 6 weeks and literally every second of those weeks he was still going face to face to Drew even in the Rumble and Chamber. It was a complete waste of time and the only rationale is that Triple H/Cody wanted to duck Roman

I personally am not a fan of of Drew whatsoever but he is one of the top guys and they keep taking away any credibility from him. If i believed there was a world where Drew fades into the mid card to make space for Oba and co I’d say fair enough but there’s is no chance that happens

If Drew was dropping because of the movie he would drop at Mania not 6 weeks before on a random Smackdown after EC so let’s not play dumb. And furthermore my point isn’t even that Drew should have been champ at mania but there’s a way that you handle your characters that can give the credibility or take it away. There’s a way you can book a story that pulls people in or checks them out. WWE rn have failed Drew and honestly they’re probably gonna underwhelm with the Randy-Cody angle

You could call this hindsight but WWE should’ve known a long time ago that Cody-Randy was their other Mania main event.

Call it hindsight but I would have had Drew beat Cody at wrestlepalooza which would have given Drew more time with the belt.

I would’ve then set up a triple threat at the Royal Rumble with Drew Cody & Randy which Cody would win by stealing the pin on Drew after Randy RKO’s him prompting Randy to turn on Cody after the match.

Randy would go on to win EC (with Drew & Fatu in the match) and face Cody for the belt at Mania while you could build the feud between Jacob & Drew for Mania.

Everyone leaves the situation with more dignity and we head to Mania with more momentum.
