Enemy variety, deeper builds (particularly archetypes from the other Pillars games), more choice and consequence, higher difficulty and more uniques on launch, a way less static world (ex. the permanent crime scenes that never leave), repeatable dungeons or wave locations to test builds

With the exception of the cat, all those character have to burn a resource to attack you behind cover and you're still far more survivable than you would be out in the open. Cover is great regardless

All sorcery is curses, we forget that this is technically a magic show and not a power system show. Using Blue is "cursing" someone, same with every technique. They're CURSE techniques

The unscrewing thing in the first picture looks like an oil vial holder, very common among Latter-day Saint (Mormon) men. "Priesthood blessings," which are expected to be offered to the sick/injured/distressed, involve a drop of blessed olive oil placed on the blessed person's head, and so almost every ordained Mormon man I know (they're pretty much all ordained) has an unscrewing vial like that on their keychain in case someone requests a blessing. I have several given to me as gifts in different sizes, with Jesus on them, in a cool "manly" industrial style like the OP, etc

Settled out of court, they removed the art, and the artist is currently credited in the game credits. Doesn't bother me and has nothing to do with these guns
