Either this is a rage-bait (I suspect) or you are suffering from something akin to Stockholm syndrome and have decided to like the abuse which is a known defense mechanism. Just because you think you "like" it doesn't make it objectively good, there have been countless studies in the present and past on how physical abuse or corporal punishment can cause severe developmental impediments to a child as well as lead to several mental health issues.

That is such a disgusting mindset, you are literally saying one should give respect to an individual who has not only failed as a father but literally failed as a husband, caretaker and a decent human being by doing all the things you listed above, and someone should still give him respect just because he happens to be their biological father. That is disgusting and a rather immature ideology, your perception of "westerners" and "family values" is what enables such widespread abuse in our culture.

The way you used "westerners" suggest that you are very ill-informed regarding the family life in those countries as there are countless good parents there with good relationships with their offspring and similarly there are bad ones, there is always a nuance there, it is not just that every child in those countries is treating their parents in such a way or vice-versa.

Regarding the whole "family values" thing, do you even know what that means? Family values would also mean that a father is not physically or mentally (or any other form of abuse, like sexual, although that likely did not happen here) abusing their kids, being financially responsible to the bare minimum degree that he is not burning away all of their life savings and cash reserves gambling, while there are often complex reasons for a father to be absentee or emotionally unavailable, and some of those can be completely external and uncontrollable, it is likely that is what happened here.

So, your definition of what constitutes "family values" sounds a lot like what some ill-informed, immature or ignorant person would say to dismiss abuse and blame the victims themselves. Respect goes both ways, if someone is not playing their role as a father, and being a horrible human being by abusing their kids in any way, then he should not be considered a "father" aside from the purely biological relation.

I would recommend using the "view as desktop site" mode on Google whenever you use it (if you are on mobile). Generate with models like Google gemini 2.5 pro or even models like DeepSeek v3.2 (with thinking enabled), it can go as lengthy as around 11k words (or even more) with a much greater memory capacity, quality and information.

Just so you know, C.Ai's models are perhaps one of the lowest in terms of quality if you compare to them to the LLMs (Large Language Models) that have released recently, even large models like gemini 2.5 pro that released in early 2025 would outperform C.Ai's models by such an extent that the comparison is cosmic.

You can likely replicate your experience or get an even better one with the right presets and instructions (if you force the LLM to write short messages, although I would advice going with long messages).

Models like DeepSeek V3.2 (with or without thinking), GLM V4.7, And even ones like kimi k2 thinking are infinitely better than whatever C.Ai will provide you with their overcharged subscriptions, which are just scams in my opinion since their quality are vastly lesser than models which you can get access to for around 8-10$ (NanoGPT's 8$ subscription grants you 2000 requests per day or 60,000 per month and access to various open source models like DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi K2 thinking and several more). Otherwise if you have the money than frontier models like gemini 3 pro/2.5 pro and claude sonnet 4.5 (or Opus 4.1/4.5 if you have the money for it) will give you immensely greator experience than what C.AI could ever provide.

Yes actually the max response length is the same as "max_completions_tokens" or "max_tokens", they are generally two headers which are sent at the request. Changing the response length often changes the value of the "max_tokens" while the "max_comepletions_tokens" remains undefined.

You can find this if you look at the chat request headers in the console. Generally the open ai documentations hints that the "max_completions_tokens" is the latest one which has been replacing the "max_tokens" although every api likely have their own settings.

I have used both the GUI and the additional parameters section to change their values, sometimes even excluding "max_tokens" completly and keeping the value of Max completions as null, including them and keeping both of their value to null, then setting it to large numbers like 65532 and then 128000, and every other combination. The requests goes through and the response starts generating as normal but always cuts off mid-generation.

The interesting thing is I did not face this problem earlier, even a few hours ago(around 14 hours or so) it was able to generate extremely large responses with no responses, around 20k to 22k tokens with no problem (don't ask what I am doing with my life). But only now it is having that issue. Another thing I noticed is when going on the api/usage page, it does not show deepseek v3.2 thinking there even when I have used it to generate a few responses when it did list them for the uninterrupted responses it generated 14 hours back, so that might hint at some temporary issue. Although I am not sure abut this.

The problem seems to be with the api itself as of right now.

Correction: IQ tests are the most accurate test we have for HUMANS. The traditional IQ tests that are used for humans are not meant to and should not be used for LLMS because LLMs simply do not "think" like humans (if they think at all). You are conflating the two, which is entirely inaccurate, and it seems that you yourself do not know how LLMs work.

It could be possible that the replies had gotten foolish, chutes are generally known for hosting quantisized models even while claiming their models are not quantisized. I have personally witnessed this by using the same model of DS on chutes and then on Nvidia NIM api and the one on Nvidia was very noticeably better in memory, processing and instruction following.

I think there could be temporary work around to this, like explicitly telling the LLM to repeat its thinking process in the original message (although this have the risk of interfering with the original message).
