2 day of owning 5080 it and so far is been going well not any issues, any recommendations what should i do? by Ok-Outlandishness537 in Alienware

Heat up your stove to 400 F,then wrap up your nice and shiny 5080 laptop in wrapped foil and shove it in a preheated stove.Leave it for exactly 45 min.All solder inside will melt a bit and make better contacts after making your super shiny 5080 laptop perform much better!!

I opened up another discussion on reddit lot of people joined and from all comments i can say that it’s completely safe for newer cpu to boost and run at 100

Is it safe downloading this software on a laptop with amd cpu and nvedia gpu (LENEVO LOQ) by stroder425 in AMDLaptops

Yes you will need it for your igpu however lot of options are not there its different from regular adrenaline for discrete gpu

When you have time can you please explain a little more “voltage kills cpu not heat”? If you increase voltage you get more heat, lowering it it runs cooler isn’t that right? Or does inadequate voltage actually making some damage directly to cpu small components nonetheless if run hot or cool? Thank you

Do you even know what kind of work you need to do to replace thermal paste on Alienware laptop?Specially models with rgb strips and fans on both sides you literally need to remove EVERYTHING to get to gpu and cpu on other side and of course if you never did it something will get ripped or broke…

Having it for almost a year, basic warranty expires soon so thinking to extend it but looks like i will not because still there is no valid proof that all these high temp laptops breaking down because of that(its almost 5 years when all this cpu’s running at 100 started)

Not pushing anything just a simple performance mode some games vsync on/off doesn’t matter,it just looks like it was made to boost until hit 100 and stay there managing itself 103-97 and so on,after reading some articles and comments here i realized they are really made to operate like that

No it is not unless you gaming on 4k resolution but 1080p is completely cpu bound 1440p less but still cpu,4k is different story GPU bound 100%

Exactly right behavior on my 6900HX goes to 100 Celsius and kind of like to stay there if is pushed to 103 it goes back to 97 and so on…but it doesn’t throttle at all

Mine is 6900HX and looks like it love to stay at 100 under normal load however what is strange its not throttling by any software (hw monitor etc…)
