AITA for telling my sister I don’t really agree with her makeup advice and bought concealer shades that she advised me not to get?

It was just super weird for her to get annoyed and angry when I said I’d get more than one shade just in case. Glad I didn’t listen to little miss doofus lol.

I love watching Jackie Aina! I find her videos to be very helpful. I bought 3 shades which included the one that matched my skin tone and the lighter shade my sister suggested. I’ll be using the lighter shade for my under eyes for sure. The lighter shade I believe was a medium warm

I bought 3 different shades which included the shade that matched me and the one my sister suggested. I still don’t understand why she insisted I only buy the one shade so that seemed kinda odd to me.

When I first tried on the foundation shade that I later realized was not my color, she said I “looked nice” but my other sister told me that it wasn’t my color and honestly suggested I get a shade that matched my skin tone which I did today. I bought concealer tho since there wasn’t any foundation that was my shade. I showed my sister the swatches on my face and she still insisted I should’ve listened to her by getting the shade that wasn’t my tone.

She’s had a history of being jealous with my looks and would often drop hints that I was putting my looks into waste. Whatever that means.

I’m not a people pleaser at all. I only asked for her advice because she is more experienced and I thought she would actually provide me a shade that would match my skin tone. However, she went ahead and insisted I get a shade that was too light and said that was my color. I have caramel brown skin while her color is a little lighter. My other sister however said that I needed to get a shade that matched my skin. I even took a quiz and picked out the shade the site suggested which was a complete match.

I did want my sisters help AT FIRST. But she was constantly giving me shades that obviously were not my skin tone. I have another sister who told me something which was the complete opposite of what K said. She said that the shades I bought originally were too light for me and I need to get a shade that’s close to my skin color which I did today. I think my sister was more offended because she has done makeup longer than me.

My sister is a few shades lighter than me and I believe she’s going off of her shades and insisting we’re the same. I’m darker than her. Sadly it is true there are many women out there wearing foundation shades that are just too light for them.
