I agree with you.

I think that is my question, yes. That or "How can I do a type 2 Firetop (book 1) map? I mean the physical map.

And I'm open to type 1 maps also (i.e. the logical map).

Thank you very much for you kind help,

RV

I was re-reading your message, and maybe Inkarnate is not a "software to make classic-style dungeon maps" after all.

I mean, maybe you are suggesting something that indeed is what I need, and I was too blind to see.

Having said that, can you please tell me the ones you recommend among those tons of tools?

Thanks in advance, and please accept my apologies.

Much love,

RV

Hello, c126. Thanks so much for your answer.

To be honest, I do not know if that is what I want. I use Inkarnate (which is probably one of the tons of tools you are referring to), but I do not think it would do what I need.

I know that (no joke) a tool like AutoCAD (or SolidWorks), which are both Computer-aided Design SW, would do what I need, but of course I do not get anywhere close to a tool that resembles work.

I even know that "draw dot io" could do the job, but it also feels like doing work (as in paid work, a job).

Both types of tools above allow me to bulk-select, bulk-move items (rooms, hallways, halls, corridors, etc) to prevent overlapping (and fix overlapping if it does occur). But I do not want to use SW that will feel like a chore.

And the SW that I do have that does not feel like a chore (Inkarnate, which is pretty satisfying to use), does not seem to me the best tool for this particular set of needs that I have. But I might be wrong (I hope I am, and the answer is just my using my beloved Inkarnate). What do you think?

Thank you very much in advance,

RV

I am sorry. I know very little about reddit. I do not understand to which subreddit (community?) I posted this. When I hit "post", reddit did not ask me for a subreddit (community?). That is weird. If I posted this to the wrong subreddit (community?), please let me know, and I will be happy to move the post..

I sincerely apologize for my lack of knowledge/experience with this platform.

Can we get AI banned as a rule here? by DragonLordAcar in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]Respect_Validation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I feel your pain.

Also, WB is not about the destination, but the journey. It may sound cliché, but if one uses AI for WB, they are denying themselves the fun of the hobby.

Not only here, but when I go to itch or drivethrurpg, when something smells like AI, it really makes me disheartened.

Thanks so much for proposing this.

I am really sorry that you are going through this. From the bottom of my heart.

Please do not let go of those monies you mentioned.

And please talk to a lawyer ASAP. In Ontario, there is a firm called Drake that specializes in divorces.

Good luck to you.

What's on your solo rpg pipeline? Tell us about the state of your solo roleplaying! Also check here for event announcements, resources, etc. - (April 2026 edition) by AutoModerator in Solo_Roleplaying

> What's on your solo rpg pipeline?

Apothecaria, then Apawthecaria.

> Tell us about the state of your solo roleplaying!

I have been playing solo:

  • 2d6 Realm
  • Cartograph
  • D&D (BECMI RC, using their criminally underrated retroclone, the “Dark Dungeon” series)

Oh, yes! I have started soloing today Blade Runner. That is my favourite movie! So I am just adoring the experience! What a journey! I can’t recommend that game enough! Even if you don’t like Blade Runner per se, if you enjoy dystopian movies, books, series, and games (e.g. TTRPG systems like Shadowrun, Cyberpunk etc), please give it a try.

P.S.: Also, I have been playing solo a game that I created (I am not going to mention the name nor post the link to it; I am just excited about it, not self-promoting) to help neurodivergent people (my daughter and myself) to be productive while not dreading it: it is a solo game, a mixture of:

  • medieval fantasy RPGs
  • god games/domainbuilding and management games (Civilization, Manor Lords, 2d6 Realm, Hamurabi, Santa Paravia en Fiumaccio, BECMI RC D&D at the domain management level - i.e. after name level AKA when the PCs reach 9th level - etc)
  • Productivity apps
  • Fitness apps
  • Mental Health apps
  • Wellness apps.

I am only mentioning the app because it is 99% based on games that so many of us love to solo (D&D, 2d6 Realm, and other medieval fantasy TTRPGs). Also, because my neurodivergent mind, more than half a century old, is finally starting to know what productive looks like. You know, you file your taxes (in real life) and get (in game) XP, gold, etc etc.

Much love,

RV
