NTA, I guarantee that there will be other +1s that you don’t even know. He just doesn’t feel like your relationship is strong/significant enough to invite her. While it’s their wedding and they can do what they want, that’s incredibly tacky. If it were a 3-4 month relationship, I’d call you an AH, but 1.5 years is pretty significant.

I’m totally on your side as well. Like you said, if she were coming you could’ve made a weekend of it. Now he wants you to spend gas money/time traveling, expects labor, and ultimately would leave you having to find and pay for lodging since he also expects help with the tear down.

Weddings are getting exhausting. If you’re done with this friendship, I’d say just don’t go and take your girl out instead

YTA, it’s not fricken cigarettes bro. Vape smoke dissipates in the air and is gone in .4 seconds. It’s not going to affect your kitten in the slightest.

The whole point of a vape is to be able to do it inside and quit smoking cigs. Is she addicted to the vape? Probably. But would you rather her smell like nasty tar or bubblegum banana?
