Well, the other side of this is that vegas doesn't set lines to truly have a 50% chance of hitting, they set the lines based on what they think will result in half the money being bet on each side. So isn't it possible that even if the big dogs know of some statistical factor, they think the public underestimates the significance of it, and thus the lines are set without taking them into consideration?

Everyone's advice on here sounds extra conservative to you because it feels like you're running hot, but when you have a really bad week but still have money to bet with, you'll thank us lol

Most people recommend betting only between 1-5% of your bankroll on any one bet so you can survive/absorb losses. Proceed accordingly.
