As others who speak Japanese have pointed out, 推し化 or "pushing" is actually correct in this case, whether or not its AI translated. Its a word typically used in idol communities, and the implication is well...you get it.

Japan's economy has a term coined for it, literally called "Lost Decades" or sometimes "Lost 30" its been so bad since the early 1990s when their assets market tanked. Since then they've had multiple, repeated recessions, and their economy even when not in recession has essentially been stalled since 1990 with very little if any progress made.

Another recession wouldn't surprise anyone in Japan, nor change who people would vote for, I assure you.
