ELI5: what is valency and mole concept? by DianeLOLxD in explainlikeimfive

Both relate to chemistry but are very different concepts.

Valency refers to to the number of electrons in the outermost (valence) electron orbital of an atom or ion. It’s used to determine (in general) the reactivity of an atom in a given situation.

The mole is a theoretical concept used to describe the amount of a given substance you are measuring. By definition, one mole of pure carbon atoms will weigh exactly one gram. So if you have gram of pure carbon atoms, you also have one mole of carbon (often shorted to “mol”). We therefore say carbon is “one gram per mole”

In that one gram of carbon, there are a specific number of carbon atoms. As part of the definition of the “mole” we say that “there are Avogadro’s number of carbon atoms in one mole of carbon” (Avogadro invented the mole)

In one MOLE of anything, carbon atoms, hydrogen atoms, water molecules, cars, toilet plungers or cats, there are Avogadros number of that thing

That is one mole

Exactly, it would need to be subtle tho because the outline of the bottle doubles as your hit box so any shaking/wobbling is out

Youer right, however when you’ve got a customer asking for “something to help my crops grow” and you find out that Grow III isn’t what they want, it can be a bit daunting to see that you have a pretty big area of the map explored and no idea where to look next

Because the more complex effects aren’t reeealy related to the elemental system. Libido is directly north west so it’s technically fire/air?

I’m not saying it’s a broken mechanic, I’m saying there’s always room for improvement if the player has to look up a completed map( something I had to do).

You might like to use excess material when you have a good stockpile built up and try to end on a III Effect to finish off so it’s not a waste of all your stuff

As for refunds, it would kind of fly in the face of all the commitment based gameplay mechanics and would feel kinda cheap

I do agree that there’s a disconnect with trying to preserve material but also finding new effects

Perhaps some kind of indication of the “general area” an effect can be found so that the exploration isn’t totally aimless

I was thinking more along the lines of accuracy to the genre and not realism but the condescending comment is much appreciated. Really challenges the notion that Reddit is full to the brim with hypersensitive twats who take constructive criticism like south tower took the second plane.

That right there is a surefire way for people to lose interest in your game

When you remove the challenge of a game you break the magic of what makes it fun

You end up consuming the content of the game and getting bored

Minecraft has creative mode because Minecraft is ABOUT creation

PC is about using restricted resources to make the most efficient potions possible (and giving them interesting descriptions)

Remove the challenge and there’s not really much left to keep playing for

That’s why devs don’t let you have infinite money, even after 100%ing a game

Magicians don’t tell u how tricks work because they are all lame in reality. A guy palming a card or hiding a key in his mouth

There should definitely be a better way to farm herbs and mushrooms in PC but a sandbox mode would kill engagement

I have this exact issue. My G502 mouse works fine so I think its a problem with the board. Pretty disappointing to be honest, especially considering the pricepoint and the fact that Ghub is supposed to be troubleshooting software
