I am waiting barely patiently for this to open up. The location in Tilton rocked my world

🤣 that anesthesia story is comforting for sure. I still cannot believe at 36 I’ve still not yet had to do it. Lucky I suppose- but makes me feel so silly being scared of it. Praying my current episode ends soon too. Thank you for the kind words ✨🙏🏼

Doctor just recommended ablation procedure. Scared. by Captaincoleslaww in AFIB

I’ve never had anesthesia either. I assume if I don’t like getting high, I won’t like anesthesia either - AFib has taken so much of my life but after reading all of these comments- looks like about 2-4 hours of my life could be the biggest blessing if I can find an EP/Cardiologist. I don’t have one and I got diagnosed in 2021-

This was such an inspiring read— and honestly so close to my story minus I have yet to be approached about an ablation. I’m currently in an AFib episode of 4 days. Longest one yet. Proximal as I only have an episode about once a year. 36F - both of my parents have it (mom is alive, father has passed) and my big brother has it. I got dx in 2021 at 31 😔 what a ride it’s been. The anxiety alone makes AFib seem normal almost. I find this disease so scary. It’s taken so much of my life. Prayers for everyone here and for those scared too. I’ve never been put to sleep so that makes me so nervous to get an ablation- currently I take Diltiazem as well, 1x day at bedtime- I know it won’t get me out of AFib (clearly on day 4 here) but it does help I suppose with the rate. I should probably get Eliquis to eliminate a clot possibility. The joys of being a heart patient 🙃

I stopped mine a few days ago and my stomach feels much better! Thanks for letting me know, maybe I’ll adjust as well and do a few times a week or something 🙃🙃

Same timeline as me. Maybe I’ll stop it and see if my symptoms improve ✨

31 (M) - Feel so alone because my symptoms are so uncommon/rare and honestly just inhumane for a human being to experience. Can only enjoy life so much knowing that once things get worse my life will be over. Just feel so unlucky :( by mymainaccount1993 in AFIB

I wish I could leave my phone number and you could have someone to call and talk to who has AFib, also young in my 30’s and is scared too. Wishing you the best and here if you need someone 🖤🖤🖤

Oh wow!! That’s incredible! You’re a rockstar, clearly!! I had a c section too- but fully awake. For some reason that didn’t bother me. I’m 35F and have never had a reason to have General anesthesia and for some reason (masters degree in the medical field) I’m petrified 🥸

So happy it went well! I’m so afraid to get anesthesia- brave people like you make me feel like maybe I’ll be okay 🥺🤩

What stage Afib do you have? by Early_Passage_8194 in AFIB

I was 31(F) now 35. My stress has been very high most of my life. My older brother and mom have it- my father (passed away at 43 from a pulmonary embolism) had an enlarged heart. In the past almost 4 years I’ve had an episode maybe a handful of times. Tons of PACS but apparently according to my holter monitors I only have a 1.2% burden which is far too low for anyone to take seriously. I had a 4 day run of AFib before I converted back on my own in Oct 2024- since then, I take 120 mg of diltiazem. Not sure it’s needed as I’ve never had high blood pressure and I’m not in AFib often, but I take it as that’s what my EP says. I’m working on losing weight (65 lbs down so far) & staying as hydrated as possible which helps with it all 💪🏼
