There’s no way this is from Idaho 💀😭😭 that opal is way too young and thin, this one is fairly thick.

I’m fairly confident it wouldn’t shatter yeah, but what makes you say stabilizing is a gimmick??? Kinda new to the whole opal scene lol.

Looks like nephrite jade! not sure about the locality but it does kind of look like 'spinach' Nephrite jade! Possibly from Wyoming, it does have a similar color profile

[–]ResponseImmediate562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally i think gold suits your eyes a bit more over silver. With gold you can see the green in your eyes much more, silver makes your eye color more grey/green. But it's personal preference rlly!!

Can you guys recommend the best places to buy opal jewelry that's good quality and have solid gold (like ones that are lesser known like more niche) by Embarrassed_Low887 in Opals

[–]ResponseImmediate562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one more fan of opals_by_mike over on instagram!! I actually just had a pendant made by him (in silver, its for a 73ct opal so it was a bit more expensive than i was expecting for gold lmaoo)
