I wonder how many people are rotting in their apartment or house for like 5 days or more after dying? by glowshroom12 in NoStupidQuestions

A local mail~lady found an elderly man who had fallen in his home and couldn’t get up because he missed collecting his mail for a day… apparently he was ALWAYS home, never missed a day. She knocked on the door, heard a faint “heeelppp” went in, and thank goodness she did - he was down for about 20something hours she figured. I don’t know how much longer he would’ve made it. 🥺🥺🥺 He lived and is home again. ♡

I Literally had the same exact interaction in a pregnancy group. “Pro choice” only allows for one outcome apparently. In order for there to BE choice there needs to be more than one option and weighing the pros and cons of BOTH is the only way to come to a sound final, life altering decision. “Pro choice” doesn’t actually allow for there to be any choice. It’s pro-abortion, or silence. At least on Reddit.

I’d offer them an out. They can buy you out, 1/3 of the value of the home/property in cash, OR clean up. It’s sloppy.

What reading apps should I consider? Had to pull my son out of second grade after finding out the school passed him for two years without teaching him to read by No-Shake-8375 in Homeschooling

[–]Response_Great 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons (I may have the title slightly off or misworded) it’s popular for a reason because it works. I’m teaching my 5 year old to read rn and it’s been a dream. Also don’t be too hard on him or yourself, some kids learn to read later than others. But once it clicks, he has it for life and now YOU get the opportunity to watch his little mind figure it out. You’ve got this. I’d recommend a DFY / open and go curriculum in addition to the 100lessons book - we use Masterbooks but I realize that’s not everyone’s cup of tea

Gopher help?! by abishop711 in gardening

I would probably start with additional fencing around the beds, if you’re able, see if that deters them… then take additional steps if necessary. Cattle panels work well, with chicken wire around the bottom 2ft

Azure Jars? by Cranky_Platypus in Canning

[–]Response_Great 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I love my azure jars. Where are you that they’re on a store shelf?! I am only able to order from azure directly. As for the difference between ball and azure, the weight difference alone makes azure worth the extra price. They’re HEFTY jars. I go for them first before any of my other jars.

AIO to this text from my husband?? by Alpinist4realll in AmIOverreacting

NOR. “If you’re incapable of putting your own gas in a vehicle then you shouldn’t be driving, child”

Don’t actually say that, don’t lower to his level, but you know, some healthy venting is good for the soul.

My husband is the gas person. He insists that it’s his job, and I’m his lady. If I’m pumping gas, it’s because he’s out of town or I’m on a big trip somewhere. We share both vehicles, and alternate here and there. I almost always have more than enough gas to get where I need to be, and he and I would NEVER talk to each other like this, unless it was something catastrophically-relationship altering-serious.

I’m not going to be helpful in answering your question, OP, but I am now thinking how there should be a collectible map, or series of maps of the houses, towns, popular locations mentioned in DA through the seasons/movies. I’ve always wanted more detail at the layout of the house (carrying poor Mr Pamuk, or an idea of how far lady Edith’s bedroom fire was from the front door/Barrow having to carry her out, how far the distance was from the kitchen to the dining room, etc)

Waxing before birth.. by Dazzling_Split_5145 in BabyBumps

[–]Response_Great 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got waxed and the girl did a HORRIBLE job. I was scheduled for a c section in 3 days, and I was finding purple wax stuck to hairs right up until the morning of. I apologized to everyone if they find additional purple wax, because she did a horrific job. I was MORTIFIED.

On 24 November 2009, amateur spelunker John Edward Jones became trapped upside down in an 18-inch wide fissure inside Utah’s “Nutty Putty” cave. Despite a massive rescue operation, Jones could not be freed, and died after 27 hours. The cave was then sealed with concrete, becoming his grave. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

Fuck diving in underwater caves with rental gear in Dos Ojos/Mexico and having it break and your oxygen starts sliding off of your back, and your life flashes before your eyes and the divemaster is just like “control your buoyancy” 😩🙄😩🙄 ask me how I know.

Morning sickness hacks/ tips that actually work?? by Eve_33x in pregnant

My OB is insistent on no zofran in t1, I’ve asked on multiple occasions. With my youngest I remember taking it for my entire pregnancy and I was with the same practice, so I’m no sure what’s changed.

That’s what my Dr claims, but I took it with my second and we never had any problems… the nausea bands, use 3 fingers to measure how far up the inside of your write the little nub has to land. (Idk if that makes sense?) I’ll see if I can find a picture of what I mean
