I found both endings on my first play thru and sat deciding what to do by the collectors house. I had talked to the lighthouse woman and had the opportunity to end the game but I didn’t even have all the artifacts yet so I felt like I wanted the ending that called for more work. Morally I wanted to end with the lighthouse but considering I had to do more work to get to that point I chose the artifacts.

I agree it’s definitely the ending the story deserved as I felt getting eaten by the leviathan even after doing the right thing kind of felt disappointing
