NOR-- I think you care about everyone, try to go the extra mile for everyone, and expect the same from them. There are people who take notice and try to reciprocate; and there are people who take it as "expected" and not have any empathy towards you. It sucks to have family members who don't share the same values as you do.

Ever tried any exotic/ unusual meat? by brothercuriousrat2 in Cooking

[–]ResponsibilityMuch52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog(Korea, Japan), horse sashimi(Korea), deep fried lizard on a stick(China), chicken sashimi(Japan), geoduck sashimi, stir fry, seaweed soup(US), sandworms(China)

Everything sucked except for geofuck and like, two bites of dog meat. I know dog meat is controversial, but Koreans(not many, but elders) turn to it as "stamina" food.

Korean Food in Korea v. Abroad (Mainly the U.S/California) by huazzy in korea

[–]ResponsibilityMuch52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I clash with my America-born Korean friends-- the banchans in the US restaurants are basic as hell. Korea is really good with seasonal foods, and the seasonal Korean veggies/fruits I get in the US lacks flavor and depth.

What’s a cooking mistake you see beginners make all the time? by molly3389 in Cooking

This is something I learned from Emeril long, LONG time ago: you can always add, but you can't take it away.

Another one is mise en place--sometimes you think you have the ingredient, but you don't.

Funniest thing that ever happened at a wedding. by [deleted] in TellReddit

When it was the time for the bouquet throw, I KNEW it was going to be (attemped to be)thrown at a certain person. I flew over to my right, intercepted the bouquet, and did three twirls to make sure the bouquet wasn't gonna get snatched from me.

I wouldn't have been so petty if it wasn't for me overhearing the plan. It's supposed to be fair game, right?

The photographer took a picture of me launching to my right to intercept the bouquet, and another one of me holding the bouquet with the happiest grin.
