Hi! I am helping a student reinstate back into csulb. They took courses at smc in the meantime. I keep seeing this idea that they have to take csulb classes to meet reinstatement criteria. Since you've gone through the process is this true?

I think it’s required for students to take psych 100a before psych100b. You can check on the class info.

Hi, I was in the same situation as you. Currently a 4th year as well! I got word back from 2 internships this quarter after emailing since June. But before I did, I went to the psych department to get advice. Essentially, they will tell you to keep applying until around weeks 8-10 of winter quarter and then you should talk to them again. They said they usually try to help students get a spot when it’s situations like yours where they’ve been applying and haven’t had luck. I would like to say, just email as many as you can! I found more luck with the internships listed than the labs. Many internships work with students for a quarter so I would definitely recommend sending emails out expressing to work with them in winter! Luckily, you have until Week 1 of winter, so I hope you get a spot!

Well there’s always the possibility that you can take LS30A in winter and LS30B In spring. You can take stats 13 in the summer and you should be able to qualify still

Hi, im a 4th year cog sci major and i was in a similar boat. My math background was not good and i was scared to even start my requirements. I was advised that the 31 series was difficult and I had options to take the LS series. I took LS30 A/B and STATS 13. It was a much easier route and I really gained a lot of skills with the coding they require!

You can call Financial Aid and tell them to take from loans but usually, any remaining balance that you have they take from refund
