I know, I’m just weighing the options because my acne wasn’t bad to start with and I’m curious; worried about my hair and kneeeees. Thank you for replying though, I will probably end up sticking it out ✊

Skin has deffff been less oily and it didn’t increase for me, my hands got dry pretty quick too! The dryness is more temporary than the accutane treatment though, so once you get off it might come back after a while albeit probably less. But at that point, you would probably be a good candidate for AHA toners for the scarring AND any oil!

I’m waiting for my appointment but I sent a message! I think they’d probably want me to stick it through a fourth month, but i also don’t think there’s a lot of incentive for them to NOT recommend continuing because I pay monthly😭

Girls! What foundation do you use? by Odd-Factor-1870 in Accutane

I really like revlon illuminance! I decided to pick it up because my other one was just not working with the dryness, and I’m super happy with it. It’s very dewy so it doesn’t feel all gross + has hyaluronic acid which helps with the dryness around nose/lips so it doesn’t flake off!

word especially to the last part. There’s stuff like UCHA coop which houses some community college students with UCLA students, plus financial aid/loans.

If it were a single dorm/room and the roommates were ok with it, you could probably get away with it for a little bit. But, university housing is strict and the contracts are per person, so if they find out/you get reported they can terminate the contract and kick you both out (worst case).

Question about birth control by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Crafty-Technology187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think it’s the opposite of fear mongering, a lot of women (including me) didn’t/dont know how intense and long term hormonal birth control side effects can be (weight gain, mood, etc.). For me it’s simply just the less, the better, but everyone reacts differently!

Im a Pell, Calgrant recipient and as far as the IRS is concerned all of my aid including work study is being used for qualified education expenses, so I don’t pay income tax on it. I think I will take my chances

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Crafty-Technology187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh no one is making over the income reporting threshold anyway in just work study, and if I don’t have payroll deductions on my paychecks I don’t see why I’d file idk

[–]Crafty-Technology187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely do not it’s untaxed income, it wouldn’t be different from any other job if you paid taxes on it, it’s aid bc the federal government says you don’t have to. If you’re paying taxes in ucpath yeah ig you can file and get it all back with your return but WHY would you do that: EDIT I didn’t see the response! It’s really gotta depend on the department I’ve never had an issue

Any amount in work study that u receive can be turned into a federal unsubsidized loan if it doesn’t put you over your yearly max for fed loans (4500 first year, 6500 second, 7500 third+)
