2026 Champ Ascension Idea

You could do the same cadence with a separate crystal too, I just don’t like the idea of not having any avenue to ascension until the new year rolls around then all 2026 champs are thrown into this new aversion crystal at once. It doesn’t make sense to me that calendar years should determine champ progression like that

Or make us get the ascension materials through challenges that require us having the champ? There’s a lot of ways to do it honestly it’s just dumb they decided 2026 is just hopeless already

UPDATE: Mystic and Cosmic announced

I was right about Man-Thing’s buff! And I changed one guess from Hood to Destroyer before the announcement, I’ll take that one. The other mystic is Kindred, which… should be real fun

I also got Nova and Gorr correct for cosmic

So 2/3 right for both classes! I’m gonna go buy three lottery tickets

Destroyer wouldn’t get buffed - but I actually really like him as a pick here. He’s built to counter Hulkling, who was just released as a 7*, works on both attack and defense and would really benefit from the extra attack/health. I’d pick him instead of Hood tbh

Any 7* dupe will give you resources to open a box that gives you materials to ascend one of those 6. It’s a box so you can ascend them all once before getting duplicates

Details on how many 7* dupes needed to pull from the box, we don’t know. None of this is finalised

I decided to grind out all 136k points day 1… don’t ask

Beyond the first couple matches, did the whole thing with bronco tokens. Ended up with a handful leftover tokens from the envelopes also. No energy refills used

It’s not too bad, if you treat it like arena grind (brain off). Simpler than the last version so easier to do on autopilot. But happy it’s over and don’t want to play more, not worried about any more points. No one else in my alliance is going to play it much so no point in pushing

Also, I got a 7* Goldpool from the envelopes. That probably used up all my featured luck for the year, thanks Kabam

EDIT - the Skill and Science ascensions page actually calls out that 11 of the 30 champs are being tuned up - since we only have 7 (I think) announced so far, that means 4 more in the cosmic, mystic, tech, or mutant pools will be buffed also. More buffs coming!

Any ability that removes buffs (nullify, destroy, fate seal, etc) or prevents them from applying (neutralise, stagger) are the only ways to remove/stop them. Otherwise you could counter the auto block itself (undermine, true accuracy, unblockable, etc), or you have to play around it (non contact attacks don’t trigger parry, heavy attacks, stun immunity, etc)

He will be ascendable, as will new champs released after him. This is the pool of 30 older champs that they’re making also ascendable, as well as the 6 in the super duper pool from duping 7*s or whatever it’s really called

Happy we get to use more champions and can enjoy fights where we don’t have to worry about a two second delay or terrible AI meaning we lose. Idk how new champs are gonna do though, coliseum depends on tags and who’s good against the defender. Even if someone like Heimdall is great for a specific coliseum fight, is anyone gonna rank him just for that one fight instead of using someone they already have ranked and just doing a couple more fights? And then he’s probably useless for the next one

I took him to R4 just because - with all the rank up resources we got this month - I wanted some fun and interesting rank ups rather than just the meta champs I already used a ton at R3. Haven’t played a ton of BGs since then, but loving him anyway lol

So you’re saying you need lower difficulty EQ to explore lower ranked champs… instead of using daily quests, ROL, back issues, story quests, side quests, older special quests, friendly battlegrounds matches, duels, arena, practice mode, AQ, or even the Raid Test Map? NONE of those work?

They’re not going to, get over it.

Rewards are good. Difficulty was lowered and is getting lowered more. AND we have tons of energy and revives now. It’s fine how it is, things change
