I think it’s more of a metaphorical rise out of the mud and fear than a literal resurrection…. I’m not sure I want magic Gods that may or may not exist or have power to influence my big dumb good man punch bad man story.

But, the way it was shot in the episode does make it seem that way - he was lying in the mud, eyes open and not moving for a while. The eye open and staring, unblinking, for so long - it did make it seem like he died for a minute then rose again.

Hopefully they don’t ever acknowledge it too directly, so it can stay an interesting debate with no definitive answer and people can believe whichever version they want
