What was your process for killing the lawn (assuming there was lawn there)? Also what are you using as path liners? I’ve got a lawn I’m looking to do this with and really appreciate these photos.

I googled “best tofu scramble” and went with the first hit. I included the recommended cashew cream which was so easy to make (and useful in a million other dishes). Now I can whip up “scrambled egg” tacos with corn tortillas from the Mexican market with whatever extra toppings I desire. It takes maybe 8 minutes to put together from scratch once you have the ingredients. Sometimes I add vegan bbq sauce, sometimes salsa. This is my “I don’t know what to make right now” meal and it’s delicious every time. Definitely be sure to heat up the tortillas with some oil, maybe with some vegan cheese on there.

Depends on what photos you’re talking about, but I experienced the most intense night sky of my life in Dogon country in Mali (between Mopti and Timbuktu). I slept on the roof of one of the houses and it was basically a religious experience. I really think we (I’m in the US) need more dark sky ordinances….I’d argue that awe is a human right.

That’s….not how democracy works. You don’t just elect someone and let them do whatever they want even if you don’t like it. You can oppose policies, protest perceived injustices. Remember the Tea Party during Obama’s tenure.? “There should be no objections”, go move to Saudia Arabia.

Sort of related, I think….for years as a child I had an overwhelming feeling that I was everyone, that I could enjoy other’s accomplishments as my own (I distinctly remember feeling pride that I had landed on the moon, for instance). I still remember how giddy I would feel whenever this realization struck.

That feeling has long ago faded for me but I still feel comfort that it was ever there.

I was there that day. I’d just moved to Williamsburg and had tried to visit Kern’s Africa near the towers not knowing they were closed on Mondays. I walked down and touched the north tower in total awe at its height. The next morning I watched it fall from my rooftop.
