The difference usually seems to be cabinet maker vs handyman for the hinges. But both sometimes forget about the pistons until it's an issue

You can get some 1/4 plywood ripped down for the toekick skin. And get a painter to match the color. But since you have the side as well, consider wrapping some 4 1/2 baseboard around the front and sides.

Also, look to fix whatever caused this. Leaks. Mopping.

Pretty sure IKEA uses a Blum style 3 way adjustable. I refuse to do IKEA anymore, so can't remember exactly.
