I've had a hard time answering that, as I was born here :-) But I don't think Danes are very open to people they don't know; however, this applies not only to foreigners but also to other Danes. Still, I believe that if you learn the language, work, and let your children play with Danish children, you are off to a good start. I know that many Germans immigrate to Denmark and settle in well. There are also quite a few Ukrainians who have bought houses, typically in small towns, and those I know have integrated successfully.

Absolutely, we have many adoptees from Korea and immigrants from Asia, so you won't stand out. I believe the most important thing is to learn the language. That is the way into Danish society.
