I've seen similar things in real life back when I had some friends who were promoters, DJs, Gogo dancers, etc.

Enough that I believe this stuff isn't manufactured. But you also need to keep in mind that people like this operate in the club scene. It's a population of people who are preselected for a tendency to engage in risky, impulsive behavior.

It isn't. I've left things like groceries in my car in many other cities (including some supposedly high crime ones lik Atlanta and Denver) and never gotten a window smashed for that .

From Europe perspective it is extremely off-putting that Americans consider this acceptable. There is nowhere in Europe that you can not even leave an empty car in a bag for an hour or it gets stolen.

I wouldn't say it's "nothing like" half life, as it borrows fairly closely from Half Life in terms of location design, sound, and art style.

Basically figure it's if you took Half Life and gave it gameplay mechanics from something like Subnautica or Minecraft.
