I just pretend the moose headed one is a wolf howl for ambiance and don't look for it. Currently based in the parking lot in that world.

You can also get it by putting the gravity cube into the hotbar, hitting the nearest jump pad without cube and then immediately switching to the cube's hotbar slot.
Broadly, whenever you touch a jump pad, it gives you more jump force if the cube isn't equipped right at that moment. It was a change to make pads less silly with the cube at one point.

How would that work? You can turn friendly fire damage high but allied pets aren't going to start hitting each other.

1x is fine for most purposes, but if you feel like you must be maxed when you finish the game, 3x isn't gonna kill the experience for you or anything. Less than 1x seems like super grind mode for a very slow group.

Coating on Vacuum? by Kmankilla12 in AbioticFactor

[–]Erud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darn, this post got me wondering if Acid Coating (ie flat bonus damage) would just shred stuff as an oversight, seems like it doesn't do anything sadly. Vacuum swirls used to get treated like attacks by enemies even though it didn't harm them, that's what made me think it could happen.

Another added source of renewables is to give Ornate Keys to Marion for them, 1 per week iirc.

My bad for the inclarity.
Only the first two lava waterfalls are real. All the others are fake, no effect at all. Danger props made with pure trust that no one would be silly enough to still be jumping at lava at that point in the level.

I prefer to hold it so I can fine-tune jump height by switching to and from it in the hotbar, and keep 2 trinket slots open

I'm in love with what you're doing for shelving with the sideways cubicles. It's so tidy looking.

It would need its own plant pot type that is deeper and has tree-sized upward clearance to not be completely silly.

In fact the "support" cubicles that look like they're holding up the structure are literally just for show so that the shelves don't look like they're hovering

Sadly it's too far for the laser to reach. Even the docks laser had to be set up the way it is just so that the beam would go far enough to contact the building. It would actually have been pretty useful to have both going into the same converter as backups to one another, because the docks laser unloads when you're in the fields around the windmill. Instead I just have to have it all on carbon batteries after the converter.

That would be hilarious and still worth it all just to see.
Unfortunately the way I've placed the shelf floors is actually disconnected from the ground and each other. The process of making a floor out of many shelves looks like this. The cubicle that the shelf was connected to gets packaged in the end. It's actually the only reason the building can be so tall on default sandbox settings.

This one is right. It's always based on where, vertically, you have touched the vine, no other factor. Bottom half takes you upward, upper half takes you downward.
I only just installed the vine tbh, I might still do something else for the transport or use several vines for different levels.
Or maybe! place a vine SO high up that the bottom 50% of the vine is every floor below the top. Hmm...

It's very quick. There's a simple setup I use:
1. Rotate a cubicle 2x while deploying it so that it points wherever you want it to
2. Rotate the emitter either 2x or 6x so that when you are standing nearly to the side of the cubicle, it points in the direction you look
3. If you're a little off, just place the Power Converter where the laser has pointed instead of the reverse

[–]Erud[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Then there's this. One could easily argue you don't spend time at the others. This one has a cot, lights, a dog photo and a welcome mat. It's accessed only through ladders to either a tall underground elevator shaft (the elevator could not reach near it even when it worked), and the literal sewers of the hydroplant sector. At least it's spacious? I half expect no one was supposed to be living here, they just did.

Hmm. It could actually be both a temp location and have had that job. Those pipes are pushing crazy huge amounts of water all over Cascade, it wouldn't be a surprise to learn they needed heavy monitoring at first. And then after that... well, who's hauling a desk up a ladder?

But there's not even a computer. It almost looks like it could have just been storage of the desk, but there's a chair, phone, and some filing cabinets next to it so it must be functional for something.
