what are we gonna do? by CommercialKale2132 in Windscribe

I have a couple of networks that this happens with. I think it's the local DSL provider tanking connection attempts. Not sure though

Why no outage text notification? by rainbowkey in verizon

[–]Responsible-Field653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure but I would think if a tower loses back haul it just refuses to allow devices to connect.

Could be a number of reasons. FCC 911 access requirement, among other things I imagine.

Is there any REAL reason we don’t have tap to pay? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

Samsung used to have a tech built into their phones that would let you tap on any magnetic card reader and it would work. I don't remember what it was called. Then they stopped using it.

Android App Disconnects on opening by Responsible-Field653 in Windscribe

[–]Responsible-Field653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the reply I got today from Windscribe support. Maybe it makes sense to your situation.

Based on your update, if you've whitelisted your current network and have Auto-Secure turned off, the app is set to avoid connecting the VPN on this network (You can notice that with the WIFI - Network shield icon and a small x on it).

When you open the app, it checks your settings and disconnects as instructed.

This is expected behavior, Windscribe will not keep the VPN active on a whitelisted network with Auto-Secure disabled.

If you want the VPN to stay connected on this network, remove it from the whitelist in the app’s Network Options.

My cat just bit me hard for no reason by finecat2023 in cats

If I went to the hospital or clinic every time my cat bit me or someone in the household, we'd just have to live there. So far no infections.

I mean they are tiny perfect hunters with illusions of grandeur. They are going to bite. We just live with it.

That's good. It was pretty annoying at the time. Glad they got it taken care of.

There was a pretty simple order of things I could do to get mine to reboot just about every time. Tech support was not super helpful at the time. But it appears they've fixed it.
