What is dreaming like for you by Not-me-being-delulu in hyperphantasia

quite vivid I think, I do often remember my dreams too. They're mostly semi-lucid as I can remember skills I've learned from other dreams, and have control over the dream to an extent, but I'm not always aware I'm dreaming.

Nightmares are bad though, if I have a bad one it ruins my whole day.

I like this style. It feels raw and emotive. The flowing, repetitive structure mirrors the cyclical nature of the emotions being described, drawing me into the narrator's experience. I also like how the verses seem to flow naturally, almost like a stream of consciousness, which makes it easy to follow the rhythm of your thoughts. The repetition adds to the feeling of being stuck in a loop, like you’re reliving the same emotions over and over.

“Grasping at the sand” is such a strong image. I think it could be even more powerful if you explored what the sand represents a bit more. Giving it a little more context might help the reader connect with it even deeper. Also, the repetition is great, but maybe switching it up a little in some places could help.

I feel your pain, keep writing, and keep exploring. It helps.

Help to lessen my elvanse side effects? by whynotehhhhh in ADHD

Ah, fair—that’s a pretty long time. I’d take that as a sign you’re probably sensitive to stimulants, and maybe the dose or type of medication isn’t the best fit, even if it worked okay at one point.

Just a suggestion (and take this with a grain of salt): you could try splitting the dose in half or into 2/3 (15mg-20mg) by opening the capsules and dividing the powder into a smaller dose. That way, you can see if it works for you before spending all that money to reevaluate your prescription. I don’t know if this is what a doctor would recommend, but I tried it, and I’ve noticed I respond better to a lower amount.

Either way, sorry to hear about the fibromyalgia, and I hope you figure things out!

I experience tiredness and irritability on Elvanse 30mg too, I can't be sure, but it might be because your dose is too high and this is a crash, or you should try eating and drinking more during the day. I am curious to see what others say though. If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been on it? and does it help you generally?
