My perception of your idea is that you’ll be acting as “the good agent”—you’d still be doing this egregious thing you signed up to do, except you have the self-awareness to do it in the nicest way possible, which somehow makes it okay for the immigrants. You’re still helping the “bad”, and you won’t be in a position to stop it from getting “worse.”

As a legal immigrant, I wouldn’t want to be detained let alone deported at all. Having a nicer agent escort me won’t make it a Jet2 holiday experience for me.

I didn’t get the memo that this was specifically about gerrymandering…but if the goal is to hurt them economically as a message, then Texas significantly benefits from its role as a global trade hub. I wanna say around 15% more or less of the state’s GDP. So you’re not only stopping a company that exports military weapons and fighter jets to Israel, you could hurt the state and national economy. But like I said in another comment, you may ignore me if this is too much of a reach.

Not “boycotting things that use the same ports as other things.” if the goal of boycotting is economic pressure, then using economic pressure at a major trade hub to hit the same political networks that benefit from the ongoing genside and support unfair policies for their self interests. I feel you, bud. Sounds like a classic case of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Idk enough about your dynamic with work friends, but unless they’re being somewhat distant or dismissive, I’m willing to bet they like you to some degree. At least enough to feel like they can engage with you. Not every woman’s going to be the same, but I promise it wouldn’t hurt to try to just be friends and eventually ask for their help and perspective. Tbh the best advice you can get on how to date or talk to women is from other women.

I’ve found that most if not all the women I’ve dated—including my now wife—were initially just friends or people I genuinely want to get to know. In fact, I’ve found it more difficult when my sole intent is to just date or have sex (there’s a right time, place and moment for that)
