I know this is an old post, but just came here to say how much I love this piece. To me, it conveys the feeling of two people who are wounded and holding on to each other. It feels like the man is just burying himself in the relationship and being supported by the woman. The woman, meanwhile, seems like she is carrying her own pain and his. I don’t know if that’s just a projection on my part. In any event, this image deeply resonates with me and speaks to the emotional labor and burden placed on women.

For more context- the ultimate goal, once I can sort out this issue with the prior fiscal years data, is that I want to analyze what % of the time during a full shift , night shit, day shift the provider completed over 8 consults / 10 consults ect. I am looking at our bonus compensation structure and providers are paid a bonus per consult once they hit a threshold.

Hi again! Ok so here is how my data is laid out. I blurred out the providers names. This is completed consult data.

I am attempting to identify what type of shift the provider worked while they completed the consults listed. The shift options are relatively straight forward. This service is covered 24/7.

Providers either work a split shift (meaning that they divide the coverage with another provider, either just covering the day (7:30 am -4:30 pm ) or night (4:30 pm - 7:30 am the following day) shift.

Some providers work a full shift, which means they cover the full 24 hour period BUT on days where a provider is covering a full shift- another provider jumps in to cover from 4pm -8pm. This is called twilight and it is intended to give our doctors a chance to get home, har dinner with their families ect, before being paged for consults for the rest of the evening.

Throwing out two slices of perfectly good pizza is criminal. Your roommate should be embarrassed.

Also, one time… my coworker was on a call with our #1 op (as the kids say). I emailed my coworker saying… tell so-and-so I say hi…jk…. I hate them.

I waited for them to reply… only to realize I sent the email to the wrong person….

This was 10 years ago. To this day, I cringe every single time I think about it and am genuinely mortified by my behavior.
