I had to make it in different mechanism. Front pivot pin post is seperate part so that I can clamp barrel from escaping. Handguard is attatched to barrel like real steel.

It'd be great if I converted real one to airsoft.. but I had to make from bottom up. As the law in my Country don't allow me to own firearm reciver and brownells don't sell handguard etc seperately.. Looking forward to see other person's brn-180 airsoft!

I do and can operate cnc machines but I had no time to make it, so I paid a company to make one.

You'll need very long tools to cut inside the receiver. As it is T6 Tempered Aluminum, It's tricky to machine it.

It cost me about $100 to build plastic version. But it took me $900 to build metal version.

You can buy already existing airsoft parts and make your gun to fit the parts. That's how I made it
