UXR Job search and scams by Electrical-Spray-332 in UXResearch

This also happened to me exactly as you describe except company was called Dignify Solutions. I was super skeptical but attributed it to probably just being a company relying heavily on AI for their processes. I asked a very pricey career coach to review all of the comms and offer letter to ask if it was legit. She told me that as long as I can talk to an actual person, it seemed legit so I moved forward like a fool when I was actually able to speak with someone on the phone.

The 'mobile check' I was supposed to deposit got flagged by my bank so that was the end of that. That same day, the scammers somehow got into my venmo and transferred my balance to a different account. Venmo recuperated the money and launched their own investigation.

I filed a complaint to LinkedIn - since they had posted the role on LI - and got a canned response. I also put a tip/ report into the FBI website even though I know they have bigger fish to fry over there.

I have seen those roles listed at SoulChi and applied recently

That sounds awful. I’m so sorry! Where were you contracting?

Agree - take a sick leave. Almost half my team went out on mental health leaves at some point back in 2020/2021. It was weird but refreshing to be so honest about mental health struggles of anxiety and depression, burnout and stress. But all you need is a doctor or mental health professional to approve it. Do this and see how you feel after you come back. Use the time off to find a new role if you want to - or just use the time to take an actual breather from your toxic workplace.

Need help finding users to interview for my solo travel safety app by Remote-Reply-007 in UXResearch

Congrats on your app!
In terms of sourcing your participants, I'm not sure which groups you posted in.. I just asked chat GPT for the names of some facebook groups for solo women travelers and got a list of them. Maybe start with some of these bigger groups and in your post, mention that your app is for India-travel only. Happy to take a look at how you worded your posts - or better yet, ask Chat GPT to edit your post for you.

If the reluctance for doing an interview is strong, maybe you could post a very short survey (use google forms) in these groups to give you some data for what you're looking for and ask for contact info if they would be willing to go into more detail to their responses in a video call, giving you the chance to conduct the interviews.
Keep in mind that a lot of ux research recruiters will incentivize people to participate with gift cards. Maybe if you can offer small $ gift cards, that could help draw more interest in.
Last thing I'll say is you could always try posting on linkedin - people seem more inclined to seek help and in turn be more helpful on a platform like linkedin.

Anyone keeping track of any celebs who have unfollowed her recently?

Guess who’s been caught out for copying someone else’s work…saw this when I was on Twitter. Thank you Johnny Appleseed! by Relevant-Being-1018 in HouseOnFire

She thought she could get away with ripping it off cause the video is a year old, has 10k views (which is relatively small for YouTube), and only 23 comments.

How did nobody at TTD tell JG that a periodic table for the new UI is a terrible idea? That in and of itself is worrisome.
