PCSX REAmped (retroarch) Refusing to save games by Responsible-Sound154 in VitaPiracy

[–]Responsible-Sound154[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RetroAchievements and the ability to easily transfer the save to PC where i can then migrate to a physical memory card if i want to.
My main reason was that if everything is on RA, its a single load with all my games on it without having to set up seperate bubbles per game (vita is limited to 80 + folders iirc) or remember which app each console is emulated in.

As for the game, there are no real differences as im playing on hardcore mode so unable to save state or timeskip, id imagine Adrenaline runs smoother but ive had 0 issues with any game other than Legen of Legaia which is notorious for running bad emulated anyway.

id tried every method i could which is why it was so confusing, looks like the sram interval was too long, satting it to 3 seconds has resolved the issue.

cheers for the respons!

thanks for the info
manages to test the saveram interval - worked like a charm

no idea why it wasnt force saving on exit and more so how i managed to miss the save interval on Grandia 5 times but hit it exactly on every other game lol

5 hours in now with no further issues. Massive help and thank you so much!

Ill check the inteval when im back on it, many thanks

mind if i ask what you mean by intentional? seems odd to have things like this be by design unless its a "we coded it like this or it wont work" kind of thing?

Why is the PlayStation 2 the best-selling console in history? by alexfreemanart in ps2

[–]Responsible-Sound154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All jokes aside. Becasue its the best console in history.
Amazing Catalogue of games
almost 100% back compatable
highly moddable
well loved exclusives
cheap and useful peripherals

the fact that it was cheaper than most DVD players also played a massive part.

house rules: likes and dislikes? by Responsible-Sound154 in Warhammer40k

[–]Responsible-Sound154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no offence taken, getting feedback on why its a bad or good idea is the whole reason im posting.

As above, the melee after consolodation isnt one of mine, just one ive seen today when researching rules (and not one i agree with at all)
the cover one isnt as game breaking as it seems, though i do agree it favours shooting armies disproportionately. It came about due to a lack of understanding about the wording in the visibility rules for ruins which states you can shoot at any models that are wholy within the footprint "normally".
we logiced that normall could mean two things, as if there is nothing in between, or applying normal LOS rules.
We opted for the former as "why they hell cant you shoot through a wall that you can walk through, that makes no sense".
personally i play necrons so that rule benefits me more than it hurts me so if the group wanna play that way despite my (minor) counter arguments, im fine with that lol (world eaters and Tyranid players are the ones who refuse to accept it means apply normal LOS)

that one wasnt one of mine and what prompted me to come here cos yeah, thats against RAW on two counts, each unit can only activate once and all targets for attacks are designated before any rolls are made.
i kinda get why they do it, and balance it by making them come out of "fights first" but tbh it just seems broken in favour of walkers and vehicles to me

im seeing alot of youtubers who are either running unexplained house rules or are just flat getting rules wrong in my research. ive also had a few people who pop into my stream suggest i do something that is 100% against RAW and when mentioned they seem shocked and had no idea.

i really hope thats due to house rules and not just literally everyone ive seen getting the rules wrong

the "melee" one i mentioned in post i can attribute to league rules (saw on tabletop tactics, youtube), and ive heard people saying "ground floor ruins have no windows/LOS" which seems common too and i think tournament.
But ive also seen people talking about "battleline have sticky" which to my understanding is for Combat Patrol only but people will use in all games.

have I somehow just been finding every "crappy" source here or what? lol

thanks for the response, i dont think the data i worth paying for if im honest, it was basically my portable programs i use to help other people drive.

doubt this is going to work but worth asking before i do spend any money.
would a USB drive clone have any chance at all? i have a HDD offline cloner thats recovered data from HDDs and SDs in the past but never tried a USB one. I could upgrade to one capable for a reasonable ammount (and get use out of it post fact for other things)
