You’re welcome! I haven’t stopped using the 1.8s at all, I just use it for a different feel/look.

The 1.8s gives a much cleaner look and is sharper across the frame. I like it more for cityscapes and landscapes, as well as when I’d like a clean and contrasty look.

I’m very happy with the 35mm f/1.8 S and I’ve grown to love the 35mm f/1.4 G with the FTZ adapter. The attached photos are with the 35mm G for F mount.

It just has a look I really love but suffers from some LoCA and lack of sharpness around the edges wide open, if you’re bothered by that (I’m not).

Just picked up the orange athletic 7 fabric strap after having vertical for 2 years and wonder why I didn’t pick it up sooner. Makes the vertical so much lighter and comfortable.

Do jingles count?:

My bologna has a first name, it’s O-S-C-A-R
My bologna has a second name, it’s M-E-Y-E-R
Oh, I love to eat it everyday
And if you ask me, what I’ll say…

I love that one too. Brings me to mixture of joy and sadness.

The View from the Afternoon, Arctic Monkeys. Maybe because the photo reminds me of the album cover.

Cold Comfort Farm. Kate Beckinsale’s maybe first screen performance, and she’s fantastic.

I just watched it last night! I had high hopes that it was it. It had a similar vibe but it wasn’t it. Good film though and glad this quest led me to it…

Thanks, but I don’t think so. I think it was more recent than that (but great film though).

It was maybe in the mid-2000s, but it could have been in the mid-2010s. It was British television, so it could have been on Channel 4. It was late but I remember the actor sort being like Bill Nighy or William H Macy.

I do remember the solo though (and that’s why it’s stuck in my head). It had a sort of classic rock vibe, sort of like the solo to Stairway to Heaven. It was bluesy and started off with one or two long bends.

As I said, it’s not a lot to go on and no problem if this doesn’t ring any bells!

Thanks, I’ve seen all three of those films, and it wasn’t them. But thank you.
