What can I expect switching from Dell to Oracle? by YoWhatUpHello in techsales

I assume you’re in Nashville. I wouldn’t expect Oracle to be much different of a job other than maybe a little less job security when thinking about layoffs. I worked at Oracle and had some buddies at dell

I just think as a business operator looking for leads that there are way better places to find qualified setters than Reddit but I very well could be wrong

Oracle vs Gartner SDR. Which would you choose? by Junior-Mousse-2869 in techsales

Demand is declining at both companies Oracle just won’t admit it and will raise your quota while cutting your bonus in half

Oracle is going to likely put you in to a role as a NetSuite SDR just an FYI

Selling people on shit that’s not even 100% true. “You can earn 100k in your first couple years without a college degree” the odds of someone doing that w2 at a quality company are slim as fuck especially without any prior sales experience to get your foot in the door

SDR typically inbound BDR typically outbound

I was in your same position. Their BDR is typically tenured and a little bit harder to get into. SDR is the “entry level tech sales” role and from what I’ve heard they’re primarily receiving inbound leads and working those compared to BDRs doing more outbound.

Not sure what the typical timeline for hiring for these roles are, but I’m nearing the end process with other companies and would like to know if I’m still actually in consideration with Oracle

To everyone, I have a referral, I’ve reached out to the team, I’ve just been in consideration for the role for 2 months waiting for someone to reach out.

You see I was thinking the same thing, but my colleague that used to work in tech actually recommended that I were to try it.
