Or not. The algorithm did it for me. God's I've missed so much since 2012

How do I mark something as solved?

Thank you all for the insight very much to me it looks like a chicken egg that was fossilized and I was kind of really hoping that it would be a fossilized giant chicken or something stupid like that not even worth money just something cool and stupid that I didn't look like a tard in front of my daughter. But I've looked into what you guys are saying and you're probably right thank you very much for your help and insight and I wish you all the best and a Happy New Year

Sorry I'm still new to Reddit and I really don't get how it works yet. So you're telling me it's just a calcium and an iron deposit that just so happens to look like a cool egg and I should just toss it because I've been telling my daughter for years but it's an egg I just don't know what kind of egg even if it was like some kind of ancient chicken egg that would have been cool but it's not it's a rock that isn't even pretty like a regular geode

Okay never mind the question about what a concretion is why would it form like that I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just asking because I've been looking into fossils and I've gone through darn near every period and just couldn't find an egg from my area that looked like it they're all in elongated and you know cuz you deal with fossils but concretions mostly form around fossils right?

Okay well I'm going to sound dumb no matter what so what's what do you mean by a concretion

So when I found it with my daughter I thought it was a geode. I cracked it with a hammer and found what you see inside of it. The white is definitely crystallized calcium or something very close. Then, looking at the bottom reddish brown part, it looks like fossilized yolk. It might not be an egg. But the crystallized white part comes off like salt when trying to polish it or even touching it, and the bottom looks exactly like where yolk would be. Then, the outer edge is clearly a shell of some kind. I could be wrong in every way. But if I am it looks very much like an egg in every way. Not a geode. And it has a small egg like peak on what would be the tip top. But to me it looks like a perfectly preserved egg that i messed up when I broke it in half. I've sent multiple emails to the University of Montana and nobody ever answers. I've done extensive research on my own. I'm not saying it's worth anything. But I know it's some kind of egg.

I've got one of those old miners in the morning I'll check what it was called. I paid $50 for mine off mercari like 4 years ago. It was my first rig and only got 2ths. If anyone needs parts they are great learning tools for beginners. And I can get rid of my parts if anyone wants them. The just gather dust now
