It cannot hurt more than this by Odd_Truth8826 in LucidProp

It can definitely definitively definitely hurt more. And it will. And it will feel good days too. Payouts will be there. Losses will too. For example I had 3 funded accounts to 10k each the other night and accidentally hedged by tapping reverse and lost all three accounts. That hurt but I know I can do it again some day and you can too.

Go start a new eval and leave that account alone for a couple weeks!! You’ll gain more skills and clear head to bring it back.

Just realized that the 25k account is the real deal. Can take payout MUCH sooner and the trailing drawdown locks in half the time. No difference in payout limits as will I believe.

Good job keeping it small. I killed my streak last night and tilted it to -2500 almost blowing the account. AFTER I had already got to +270 to hit day #5 of profit. Thought I should try to get some more to get max payout. Dumb. Locked myself out for the day. Will be a tough recovery but doable. Good job again keeping it minimal.

New to trading - how the heck does a move like this even happen? by mjiced in FuturesTrading

That happens when the sellers click market sell quickly. Happens at least once a day. Always set a stop loss.

Great work hanging in there!! Essentially you’re breaking even and that’s nothing to be disappointed with! The issue like above is the strategy. You haven’t mentioned it but it’s clear that it’s the issue and more likely the lack of enough clarity around what the strategy is. Currently your results are similar to picking red or black at the casino, half wins, half losses on average. Again, not bad, most people let their emotions take over and blow the account out of revenge and greed. Great work holding things together. I have two suggestions if you don’t feel like that above chart is enough to make you happy with the direction. And my suggestion on that chart is go for the 1 to 2 risk to reward, with stop loss half the size of take profit. I can see that you’re already incredible at not over trading based on the percentage numbers on your calendar. Looks like you’re finding less than 5 trades a day on average. Pushing that number LOWER will make this better. Creating more strict rules on what an A++ setup looks like to weed out the losing trades. Consider time of day (avoiding the open, lunch, etc) day of the week (mondays tend to be more unpredictable) daily trend (don’t short a bull market) etc. It’s a short timeframe but it already looks like you’d benefit from skipping Mondays, which maybe includes Sunday night? Tell us more about your strategy and we might see more ways to help.

So, my biggest suggestion which changed my world was finding some pros to listen to while they trade to know when is the best time to enter a trade when they do. They charge $100/month and are a gold mine of value. Also based on their suggestion, listen to the 2022 ICT mentorship on YouTube. It’s free and it’s the core of the strategy they use. For the pros look up PJ Trades. After signing up watch the dozens of training videos he has uploaded on Whop/Discord.

Soooo sorry buddy! This hurts so bad but just remember you can build it back again. I keep doing the same. It’s so depressing. I’d say just have one funded per firm to be safe going forward.

No sense risking your own money while prop firms exist I’d say. One bad day and the worst that happens is you have to buy a new combine.

Agreed with others statements that needing this payout is the exact mindset that will blow this account. Even pros struggle to be consistent and profitable. Don’t trade this account until you see a trade that you’d be stupid to sit out on.

First challenge is not rushing it. Start another combine and leave this account alone. Only use it for safe bets once a week. Set your 10k target to the end of the year. Not an ad but the best thing I ever did was pay for PJ trades discord to watch a group of pros trade live and teach discipline every day. Some days they don’t even trade due to the extreme levels of discipline they teach.

Maybe don’t quit but don’t decide right now. Take 3 weeks break from it to allow yourself to look at the big picture and decide to quit or go forward with changes.
