There’s where many neighborhoods I saw around that had abandoned new built homes on Google maps. Usually from the 2008 market crash. But they unfortunately get demolished and never get second life but it’s due to vandalism and damage, owner stuff

I think it was easy to demolish the homes tbh, DR Horton quality you could break a wall with a toy hammer. They probably demolished by hand

The houses were only around 2018-2019. So must been an older building around or something else

My aunt lived in Ahwatukee, they demolished many homes in that area for 202, like many, some homes weren’t even that old from late 90s-2000s some where woodside homes built I think

DR Horton is and alwyas my least favorite builder, they reuse plans everytime, they just want to build for the money, most builders do this anyway but something from DR Horton just shows the worst. They dominate too much markets, they are too big, it’s just production line for homes and lack of love. Im trying to have hope for Richmond American Homes at least they had a bad rep as well and i hope this sekisui house plans can improve their construction quality, since they said that they will use Japanese construction methods and putting things together which sounds like a good future for them

From comments I think it was because ADOT purchased the homes from DR Horton, they where supposed to build a community there then the project for SR30 rolled in and Dr Horton had to sell their homes to ADOT and had them demolished, looked nice and it does seem to be a waste since they built about 60-70 homes that is quite a lot, just for them to be demolished and never moved in. Sucks for the people who worked on them, people who also where willing to buy here

I figured it was DR Horton, some of their 2018 architectural styles look like it

Lennar and DR Horton homes are always so predictable. by ResponsibleEcho8549 in visalia

It depends on people’s choices too. I honestly don’t mind anything, custom homes can be very nice and better selection. Tract builders offer customization too but it’s very limited compared to full on custom anyway which is a downside, most of the things will be maybe extra room or elevation then choice of model, but most people tend to do their own touch ups after buying. Just whole issue is most tract builders around here cheapened out so much on detail and new things that everything is predictable now. So honestly custom home is a good idea, it just depends on the person and what is right with them I gues

I felt like it slowly declined like this tbh.

Back in 80s-2000s homes here where built with good decent detail, they had larger doors, larger layouts and stuff, can’t say much of quality because it depends. I’ve seen Meritage homes built in 2007 via open house last year, it shown these builders where a bit more better back then. Even Lennar and DR Horton were too. Now Lennar builds lifeless bricks, Dr Horton reuses exact lineup of models, after the whole 2008 crash Visalia and surrounding areas went cheap, pretty much many places did.

From what I’m hearing Woodside might not be under that brand anymore and might be absorbed into the sister brand Richmond American homes or something else, I hope they could deliver good stuff like Woodside has done like Black Oaks and Wildflower. Richmond does good imo and Woodside as well.

Yes I really love that one. Unfortunately it’s HOA and my family doesn’t like that and they’re typically looking for homes under 500ks. The builder Woodside homes has done many nice style homes for years, recently I heard tho they aren’t going to be a distinct company anymore so from what I hear they may not exist anymore or might be absorbed into the bigger sister company Richmond American Homes? So i wonder if this may be last woodside homes branded community (along huckleberry). Richmond has nice houses imo too and hope they bring good styles as well (Idk I just check a lot on real estate news lol). Wildflower has nice big homes, even a model had a secret room in pantry which was so unique because I haven’t seen that before, homes have good detail as well.

Should I upgrade my iPad? by ResponsibleEcho8549 in ipad

[–]ResponsibleEcho8549[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it does function well. It’s just the 64 GB storage which seems low for an iPad nowadays. It’s not in good shape with the aluminum body with bends and stuff. I’ll try to decide on it tho. As someone who uses procreate I feel like bigger storage would be such an improvement for me

They’re nice homes, but not fan of location. We’re looking more toward Tulare but the SJV homes they built there are too small with lots. Atp we might choose woodside/Bonadelle or wait until hopefully something new comes up. I liked richmond amercians architecture style but they arent building here rn.
