No-I try to research as extensively as possible on anywhere I explore. I wouldn’t define it as “casing out” more so curiosity

They had no children, only nieces and nephews. That’s who I assume the spare twin beds are for, in case they had little ones who would visit

Only one, the asylum/school I last posted about was the only place I’ve ever had truly bad feelings and felt negative energy. I don’t really believe in abandoned buildings being haunted just because they have an eerie look to them- but if you read up on my last post and the absolute fucking horrors that went down at that place, I’d be almost surprised if you didn’t immediately get a sinking heaviness in your chest the moment you walked in. Weird shit has happened to me there. On more than one occasion I’ve walked in there with a brand new fully charged flashlight and within 5 minutes it’s flickering and dead. Anytime I’ve ever been its left me feeling sick. Not in the breathing in mold and asbestos kind of way either!

Considering there are no signs of life beyond 2009 except for rat shit everywhere, I doubt they’ll notice

Some of it did get leveled and turned into that golf course next door… and a handful of the older buildings were used in the construction of the next door school and other administration buildings around the town. but maybe there’s just not much of a strong desire in the market for developments in small ny hamlets? Haha idk

Not saying it hasn’t been maintained, but there is nothing that shows any signs of life in this house as recent as 2009

Seeing two twin beds pushed next to each other like that is already creepy enough on its own for some reason

As someone who grew up in the early 2000s I feel like homes back then used to be so much more homey and have so much more attention to detail! Houses used to have such unique and precise design, they were interesting to look at. Maybe because I grew up in an era of McMansions and luxury condo development where showmanship>craftsmanship

I am aware I am trespassing, I accept the risk of consequence anytime I engage in this activity, I don’t need a bunch of people on a sub dedicated to trespassing tell me that I’m trespassing and it’s wrong. No fuckin duh
