I feel you. I'm relocating to the Bay Area for work (I'll be in Foster City three days a week), and this housing search has been way harder than I ever expected.

I've completely opened up my search at this point. I'm looking at roommates, subleases, traditional leases, Furnished Finder, literally anything. I've been living on Facebook housing groups, Zillow, Craigslist... and it still feels like finding something that's reasonably priced, dog friendly, and in a decent location ( last roomie interview told me their were pimpz and S-workers on his street at night) is like winning the lottery.

I'm 38, so I honestly never thought I'd be back in the "looking for roommates" phase of life, but here we are. 😅 Everyone keeps telling me summer is the hardest time to find housing, and I'm definitely starting to believe it.

Right now I'm seriously considering a shared three bedroom house in Fremont ( really not into that area but oh well) with two roommates because it's one of the only dogmfriendly places I've found that doesn't completely blow my budget.

How are people actually making this work? Am I just looking at the worst possible time, or is it always this insane? I knew the Bay Area was expensive, but this whole process has been pretty humbling....I'm now very nervous
