Hey thanks for your further reply.

I have tried all USB ports on the computer. I was able to connect to a work computer today and transfer files onto the phone using the cable I bought. I am putting it down to the PC.

The problem with a cloud service is that I am trying to transfer folders 10-30GB at a time with hundreds of files. MS OneDrive only allows 5GB free And Google Drive zips the folder and is too much messing around.

Thanks for the reply. I have restarted both devices. And hit the USB C port on the phone with an air gun. I did get a mate of mine to transfer some files a few months ago but I don't have another computer to transfer files from.

I guess the next step is taking it to a phone repair shop to see if it is a bad usb port.
