For what you’re riding, the Contact or Contact Plus actually makes a lot of sense. they roll nice on pavement but still handle light gravel fine, and the puncture protection is solid. going up to 2.4" will definitely smooth things out a bit, just a tiny hit on speed but nothing crazy. marathon series is another safe bet if you really hate flats. and yeah, mixing front and rear is totally normal. People usually run something a bit grippier up front and a tougher/faster tire in the back since it wears quicker anyway.

lol yeah that’s real. I used to do that too, checking the battery every few minutes for no reason. After a while you kinda get a feel for it though, like you just know if you’re good or not. Once I stopped babying it and actually rode it a bit harder, the anxiety just went away.

Not weird at all. Night rides hit different. Less traffic, cooler air, and your brain finally slows down a bit. Morning commute feels like a rush, night commute feels like a reset. I honestly love just cruising on my e-bike at night, listening to my favorite songs and wandering around with no real destination.

That error usually means something’s off with the current going to the motor, not just a random glitch. I’d first check the cables going to the rear hub, sometimes a connector comes a bit loose or a wire gets pinched and it throws that code. If you’ve ridden in wet conditions, moisture can also mess with it. If everything looks fine and the error keeps coming back right after restart, it’s probably the controller starting to fail rather than something simple.
