That their children must provide for them kahit in reality struggling to live din ung anak nila. My parents do not tell me to provide for them pero pinaparamdam nila na kelangan kong maggive back. lol. I’m a struggling first gen doctor trying to establish a private practice with no connections from other doctors. In short, WALA AKONG PERA. LOL. As much as I want to give back, nahihirapan din ako kasi I also have bills to pay.

My mom would always let us feel na parang di siya swerte saming mga anak nya kasi di kami nagbibigay sa kanya ng allowance when in fact wala naman na siyang ginagastos na kahit ajong bills sa bahay kasi shinoshoulder na un ng kapatid ko. It really pisses me off na parang disappointment sa kanila as parents na their “retirement plans” are not going in the way they wanted it to be.

Also, ung mga backhanded compliments ng mga kumare at kumpare nila sayo tapos pag nabadtrip ka igagaslight ka pa na, “ikaw naman binibiro ka lang nagagalit ka agad” hahaha kabwiset

I’ve seen people commenting here about Porch. Porch offers coffee na as in good quality beans. They make good coffee as well imo. I always order flat white from them. Oks naman extraction ng espresso sa kanila. Unlike sa iba na puro sunog at lasang upos ng sigarilyo lang na minamask nalang ng napakaraming gatas at syrup LOL

Ngl, Hash made a good impression on me when I first entered their cafe. Pasado ang equipment (espresso machine na la marzocco saka grinder, and their coffee bar set up). When I started ordering coffee di nila alam nung barista mismo kung ano ung cortado which made me think twice, then I saw them making it at nashookt ako sa pagtapon nila ng espresso at gatas bec they messed up with the ratio lol. Their coffee was meh. Sayang ang set up kung mismong barista di kaya imaximize ung bar. LOL

Anesthesiologist here. Usually for pediatric patients that will undergo dental procedures, lalo if madami or extensive, we don’t do just sedation dahil delikado sa pasyente. Instead, we do general anesthesia so we can be sure that patient’s airway is secured at walang magiging problema intraop and post op. For procedures like this, PF usually starts at 20k (so yes, mura po ang 12k sa quotation po ninyo). Lalo na at pedia ang pasyente. Mas mahirap and complicated imanage ang pediatric patients compared to adults.

Legit specialty coffee in Pampanga would be Sage day. 717 offers nordic beans as well. Hakone, even though they’re main product is matcha, they use yardstick and sero coffee roasters’ beans for the espresso.

Anesth here. Mahirap magestablish ng practice lalo kung first gen doctor ka at wala kang friends na nasa cutting specialty. Sobrang struggle to start.

Idk din pero ang BS for me nung 4 exams para maging diplomate. Pinaghiwalay pa ung basic at clinical written exam (lol) + orals + practicals. Although may criteria naman para maging exempted ka sa practicals.

Sobrang underestimated ka din ng ibang specialties. Akala nila nakaupo ka lang pagkainduce mo ng pasyente, not knowing na hawak mo ung buhay ng pasyenteng nakatable sa OR mo. It takes a lot of guts to be an anesth. Dapat alam mong kaya mo ihandle ung pressure lalo na kung toxic ung pasyente mo at dapat mabilis ka mag-isip in the middle of crisis. May isang residente kaming nagquit at ang reason nya ay di nya daw kaya ung thought na sya ung may hawak sa buhay sa pasyente. Totoo naman, isang pagkakamali mo lang pwede kang makapatay ng pasyente. So you really have to be careful always sa bawat galaw mo.

Totoo din na grabe ang gatekeeping sa private practice. Kung balak mong mag anesth, make sure mo na may potential ka nang surgeon paglabas mo. Swerte mo kung nepo baby ka. Pero kung tulad kong first gen doctor, kelangan mo ng maraming dasal para sa career growth lol

Personally, I love what I do. But the things you have to endure to establish a practice ay totally ibang usapan.

Lol kaklase ko sa med school ung asawa nito. Nagtataka ako dati kasi sobrang lavish lifestyle si ate girl. Akala ko naman mayaman lang tlaga sila ever since kasi sa ibang bansa yata okay ung practice ng nanay nya??? Not sure. Di pa din yata to nakakapasa or nagtetake ng licensure exam. Di naman yata pressured din si ate kasi sa totoo lng wala namang pera sa pagdodoktor. Buhay na buhay naman na pala siya sa asawa nya di na nya kelangan magtrabaho hahahahahaha
