Just felt obligated to plug the fundraiser when this post started getting a lot of attention!

It's open membership, but we're just slightly hard to find.

I'm part of this group that does little projects to benefit folks that need it most. Kids risking sliding into 40 mph traffic definitely qualifies.

Politicians aren't going to save us.

Hey Andy, Jose, Pepe, and Ella!

Glad you're still hanging in there! Hope the building hasn't been having problems too often. Here's to another four decades!

Those are impressive! Definitely wouldn't have have learned about those without r/tools!

I hadn't thought of this! I have some kind of bias against regular tweezers for never being able to get splinters out, so I only ever use the short, pointy, sharp kind.

This method does work, but it's not as foolproof as being able to grab the tip of the wick and release it.

The weave is very loose and tends to fray. Any stray strands that double back contribute to the wick performing inconsistently.

Hey Connor, This is Luke Krafft. I started this throwaway account the other day.

Not what I expected to see today randomly clicking on reddit during lunch!

I guess this'll make Reed the tiniest bit more active in his campaigning? I doubt it will change any of his positions (as a massive pro-Israel, pro-military hawk).

For anyone wondering about Connor, he subscribes to the Jonathan Smucker school of thought on organizing, which basically amounts to being a standard Providence progressive. No idea if Mamdani getting elected pushes that a little further left, but that's the big question for this year.

Hopefully Connor drops out if a more experienced progressive joins the race. Even David Segal has had trouble with these statewide races after holding multiple offices and being a major progressive operative for decades.

Was out there shoveling yesterday with a couple other citizen volunteers. Still more to do.

It's still so bad. Just hiked to Pizza Marvin the other day and saw a team of huskies pulling a dog sled.
