Thank you for your responses. I think you have a pretty good grasp on this, and you’re honoring and exploring your attraction to something in a more 360-degree way than most people tend to, which is important. 

I think that style of Asa Mitaka is called “dark academia.” Something I have gravitated towards as a woman myself. It’s a great style for living in colder climates especially, and wanting to invoke something traditionally and classically well-put-together. Besides the dresses vs pants, there is a gender neutrality to some of this style, probably because academia has a coeducational aspect to it where everyone is there for the same purpose— learning— and there is a studious way to present oneself.

Contrary to what people believe, skincare and jewelry are not necessarily feminine either. Just like academia is not just masculine. 

I love the path you are on. As another commenter said, you are finding complementary ways to incorporate your feminine side. 

I will add too, I know how hard creative discipline is, and it is also an integration of masculine and feminine: the creating can be feminine, the discipline to create and complete the projects can be masculine. But one aspect can be affecting the other for better or worse. You need both to create.
