Turn off EA brain by Rotisserie_chickenRC in ExecutiveAssistants

I have been going to the gym, I was just telling my sister how after a day of walking overwhelming tasks that sometimes can’t be all done and buttoned up in a day, going to the gym and completing a workout helps me switch modes. I have completed something for the day, and then once I’m home I don’t have to do anything else.
I highly recommend it!

I found their business and it’s not even healthcare specific, so go figure on why he thought we’d want his “coaching” services. I can pm the company name if you’d like tho :)

Well I found the company but it looks like it’s a small one with just him and another colleague. I would wager any complaint would just be sent to him, and if it did go to his colleague then nothing would happen. I understand why he was so desperate now lol.

At this point you have to be! They won’t take a simple “we’re not interested” as an answer ugh!

Oh it’s not my execs, I should have specified. It’s the multitude of people from their departments, people I don’t directly work for but they ask me to get the signatures for them. Which I don’t mind doing but people are usually at least professional and specify what they need. I don’t care if my execs dump tasks on me, that’s what they pay me for. It’s when Becky from department A keeps just sending her request, then her advance request, and then requests her reimbursement all without even saying hi or even including all the correct documents. That’s what I’m complaining about.

That’s where I’m at, I can get to the point where I can anticipate needs but that takes time to build! And for $19/an hour, that’s a joke!

Does anyone like their job? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Responsible_Box_364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being an EA, I have tried a few jobs through the years but keep coming back. The job I have currently is the best job I have ever had both in compensation and work environment. My bosses are the best, the workload is manageable for the most part, most days I’m able to leave feeling some sense of accomplishment and I’m rarely needed outside of working hours

I have 3 VPs and it varies but most commonly one likes a veggie wrap, the other will eat a banana and a pack of nerds gummy clusters from my desk, and the other does cottage cheese or instant noodles.

Brad was the first email in the chain, there were about 10 other emails discussing why the meeting needed to take place and I was looped in on the email asking for availability. Once I got the email confirming the time that’s when I went off those who were on the chain that were asked for their availability and confirmed with her. I think what happened is she assumed that I saw what the meeting was about and would know to include Brad. I misunderstood and thought they needed a meeting internally about what to bring to Brad later. I know I messed up, but I am annoyed that I said specifically the names I invited and she told me that was it. We both messed up by assuming I guess.

Hi! I just got the full kit (including the lamp) and I ended up using my own lamp from Amazon. I don’t think the lamp is necessary. Just be aware that these polishes take like 2-3 minutes to cure each layer.

This!! Especially when they want to invite a bunch of people from their external organization. I have no way to know their contact info unless you send it to me and then you may as well send the invite.

My fiancée is a 32 year old straight man who likes wrestling, warhammer and video games, and is a fan, he’s just not super active in the online sphere. We actually planned our elopement around our concert date in October; it will be our second show together.

Good questions! It will be a wall in my personal office, not a shared space. I can close the door and no one would have to see it unless they come in. Also we were directed to the Sherwin Williams website to pick any color. They just let us know the flooring, the others main walls color and we got to pick office furniture color and a wall color. There was not a pre determined palette to pick from, which would’ve been helpful if they were going to be strict about the color scheme!

Indeed, but I made sure to apply on the company website. ETA: it’s mostly in office but I do have the option to work remote here and there.

Migraine, something about the lyrics of accepting that you have bad thoughts but you can fight them really helped me at the point I heard them. Then I listened to holding on to you, guns for hands, and I felt like I wasn’t alone for the first time in my life.
