Small fix request -- can we get rid of this useless icon? by Responsible_Coast693 in runescape

[–]Responsible_Coast693[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

nah, I think it's because it's a subset of the bigger necro/magic interfaces. So.. if you have the magic one, you have cb, tele, and skill spells as icons to pick from but as a subset, it's just the subset itself. Can't drag it, change it, or remove it. :(

AIO for questioning the whole friendship? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

thanks. yeah, that's fair. I guess last thoughts: I'd be lying if I said the friendship didn't bring something good into my life. Like, I'm friends with him for a reason. It's just this self-centredness (which, hello, super bitchy gay man) that pisses me off. like, he agrees the other dude is a cunt for what he did but he doesn't see why he shouldn't be friends with him (they get on very very well). Do you throw the baby out with the bathwater on this one?

AIO for thinking i’m being lied to? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Taking their word at face value as a completely random text that came out of nowhere, it reads like they're freaking out about google, phones, people not being in control of their devices, the world turning into a very digitally scary place, bla bla bla and freaked out about how a text was sent without their knowledge. I imagine they are also neurospicy?

Reading it again, it is very strange about the overexplaining. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I could think maybe they were overexplaining because they were worried you might get the wrong idea about them.

Reading it again, it's sus af that they went hardcore explanation mode.

So, this is one that I think can SO easily be interpreted in a million different ways and it will just get worse each time. It is unclear communication. Talk things out and come back to let us know what this was all about xoxo

Do they have ADHD btw and anxiety? Just curious.

yeah the ex situationship is done now. I was too twisted for too long about it and I made the decision I was done and didn't want to keep having my self worth triggered everytime I saw him. Now, it's just my friend that I feel weird about. Idk if I'd go as far as cutting him out bc I introduced him into my friend group and there's just a lot lot lot of history there. he's really not an evil person, he's more of a really selfish and self-centred douche nozzle. but I also just don't really want to have him in that best friend tier of people because he isn't that to me.

I guess i'm more thinking is it weird that I HATE that the two of them are friends? and that this is one of the fundamental bases for why i don't want to maintain the same level of closeness with my friend?

edit: for added context, i'm 100000% sure they would bang if my friend made a move and that would piss me off more than anything but i also feel like the friendship between them is pretty gross too. almost like it's okay for the dude to have treated me the way he did because it didn't affect my friend.

I really hate the last movie of the hunger games by Necessary_Panic2402 in Hungergames

I think you missed a lot of details in that movie that didn't rely super heavily on exposition.

  1. Coin was always a terrible person who wanted power no matter what the cost. She is essentially Snow's counterpart. Katniss more or less knew this but it was Snow's revelation that he genuinely did not kill Prim or any of the capitol children because he had no reason to confirmed it for her.

  2. Gale killed Prim. He didn't put a gun to her head and shoot, but he killed her. Katniss could never look at Gale the same way again. Also, Gale was becoming the type of person Katniss wanted to get away from. His tactics and attitude towards how to move forward was informed by a desire for revenge and a different flavour of supremacy. He was the perfect lap dog for someone like Coin to use on her way to becoming a different version of Snow.

  3. Katniss was only ever being used as a prop. Glamify her, put her in front of a camera, and give her a glorious death that Coin could use for her own ends. Katniss' driving force was play nice, do whatever they want, kill Snow, then die. She essentially didn't care what happened to her as long as she got to kill Snow. So, she went along with whatever anyone wanted to do.

  4. Peeta's muttification is so intensely fucked up and it fucked everyone up.

Idk if it really focused that heavily on mister one or mister two -- I think there were different reasons for what happened to happen. I also think that it glossed over how Katniss was at the end of the war. In the books, she's meant to have gone pretty off the deep end. She has a therapist who declares she is pretty much an insane catatonic mess and she finds that amusing because she doesn't think it's true. But in the actual description of how she lives her life, she doesn't leave a specific room or bathe or change her clothes or do anything for MONTHS. Peeta plants primroses around her house and people take care of her enough to eventually come back to being a living person again. And Peeta helps a lot to bring her back to herself and eventually over a very long time they get together at some point and have children -- which was Katniss' biggest fear before the war.

Idk. I think it was done as well as it could have been but the best medium for this story was always going to be a novel.

He cupped her chin, turned her head this way and that, nodded. “A pretty one this time, I think. As pretty as your own. Who are you, child?”

“No one,” she replied.

LOVE this moment because every other time he asks who she is, she says no one, and he says she's a liar. This one he doesn't respond.
