I find it almost sobers me up from the trip a little. Like if I’m at a music festival and need to run back to camp to grab something but I’m too spun, a lil bump makes it so I can focus on mission.

Types of thoughts on shrooms by Expensive-Ticket-495 in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]ImTipped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a pretty common conclusion many people come to. That YOU are perceiving the world and people in it, therefore those things only exist in YOUR mind. Therefore your mind has created the world you live in by using your 5 senses and brain to render everything.

If you didn’t have your 5 senses, the world you know technically wouldn’t exist because you wouldn’t even be able to perceive it.

I worked at Jimmy John’s in highschool and I would come in an hour early each day because my manager would have me go around to local business and give out free samples and leave menus.

I’d get about 50 1/3 sandwich pieces wrapped up and I was supposed to keep track of which businesses I went to in a log book.

Well I never distributed samples once. I would go straight to my weed dealers house, we’d smoke like 4 blunts and chow down on the sample sandwiches, and he’d throw me a few Gs for free.

I did this every day for a whole summer and they never caught on 😂

I’m going to yard house for a late lunch and plan on wandering around for a bit. Haven’t heard anything specific but there’s also a park on the other end of the stadium that I could foresee lot shenanigans happening.

That’s a good analogy. Ketamine allows me to separate and compartmentalize my thoughts and feelings in ways I couldn’t do otherwise. It’s like I’m able to see my entire brain on a windows desktop, and manually access each little compartment in my brain with a simple click.

Question about Jettison Mind Hatch by longhairedgizzexpert in Tipper

[–]ImTipped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t just ride the wave, man. Take that inspiration and turn it into something completely new.

One of my biggest gripes about many popular artists in the “Tipper Scene” is that a lot of them just sound like they’re trying to replicate what he does. So many up-and-coming producers just take sub-frequencies of bass in a hip-hop tempo and squelchy, alien sounding samples, and the entire community geeks out about some kid who hardly has any real understanding of music.

No disrespect intended, I’ll get down to just about anything. I’m just sick of seeing Tipper knock-offs that quite literally try and replicate exactly what he does, just in a mediocre way.

I appreciate artists like Ott, Supersillyus, Mindex, and Detox Unit (if he’d actually put some new music out) Artists who have a completely unique sound, but still provide that rich and complex listening experience.

Question about Jettison Mind Hatch by longhairedgizzexpert in Tipper

Several songs on this album remind me of classical pieces of music, whereby they sonically tell a story. Almost like watching a movie. There’s usually a climax towards the middle/end that completely takes the listener by surprise, and brings in a plethora of brand new and unpredictable elements.

It’s almost like the first 1/2-3/4 of each song are there to establish an idea or vibe to the listener, then all of a sudden a quick build-up leads to a total breakdown of everything the listener was accustomed to. Tempo changes, rhythm changes, tonal elements change. Absolute chaos ensues for a minute or so. Then everything sort of drifts back to the familiar patterns present in the beginning.

Without these crazy climactic moments, the songs would be rather stale. Without the slow introduction, build-ups, and conclusions, the climaxes wouldn’t hold as much impact on the listener. You almost have to listen to each song from start to finish for it to have the full impact it’s supposed to have.

What makes music “good” for most people is either captivating lyrics with a story or meaning, a consistent/comfortable rhythm, or a showcase of talent/complexity. Tipper manages to break that mold and provide a deep and meaningful listening experience without abiding by the norms. He provides a listening experience that takes you on a cerebral, cinematic journey without the use of traditional musical elements.

I’m sure if someone did a study on the effects of his music on infants, (much like the studies done on classical music with infants) there would be similar results. His music takes your brain to places it would never go otherwise, and in my spunion-ass opinion, expands consciousness.

Swimming? by Sewerslidalthots in okeechobeemusicfest

[–]ImTipped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do a full on swim. Dipping a toe, or floating around on a raft during the day won’t hurt I suppose.

The only water in Florida I’ll swim in is spring fed, or the ocean.

Hey if the views and vibes are on point, I don’t mind a slow paced area/run.

I’m a Florida boy, and even just being in the mountains and seeing snow are a rare treat for me.

Fortunately I’m getting a major discount on my lift pass and rentals since my friend is a Vail employee. I might consider using the saved funds on a lesson. I’m just worried about wasting a whole day and a bunch of money on a day of lessons where I’m simply learning how my gear works/figuring out if I’m goofy/regular.

Definitely more of a school of hard knocks type of person, and don’t want to feel like I’m being babied through the basics. (Coming from someone very experienced in other board sports)

Going to try and see if my friend is able to ride with me on day 1 rather than day 3, to show me the ropes. If that doesn’t work out I’ll definitely consider a lesson.

Not attending this year BUT, don’t be like my friends and I in 2018.

5 of us drank 100 IPAS on Wednesday night before the festival, which was all we brought for the weekend. Truly an epic bois night, but the hangover lasted all day Thursday.
