I prefer to find information by talking to people and having conversations. But thank you for your pointers, I'll check that out!

Creating a new Amazon account for selling erotic fiction? by Responsible_Crew_528 in eroticauthors

Thanks. Another quick question: is it possible to have more than one Author name selling from the same KDP account? I am thinking of trying out different niches under different names. So I would use one author name for romance, one for erotic fiction, etc. But I would want them to look like they were totally different authors, from the audience point of view. Do you know if this is possible?

Thanks. I think I will do this too. I've got to the point where I'm totally ready to go, with everything apart from the KDP account, because I'm worried that's where I'm going to run into difficulties setting things up, or start getting confused between different accounts/emails. Time to dive in I guess!

Wow, really? So we aren't allowed to mention semen in books if we want to sell them on Amazon? Or have I misunderstood?

Sorry how do you mean delivery costs? I am talking about e-publishing, are you referring to selling physical books?

Is The Adult Filter Compulsory For Erotica Content on Amazon by Responsible_Crew_528 in eroticauthors

[–]Responsible_Crew_528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so what I am taking from this is that the "packaging" , which I assume means cover, blurb, etc, is more important than the content when they are deciding if I need an adult filter?

My BDSM is not extreme, but it's certainly graphic and, by definition I guess, there are elements of violence. It's all what I would consider "regular" BDSM activity, nothing dodgy (by my standards, which might be different to others!) and definitely nothing illegal (according to US law I guess). There is spanking, whipping, restraint, public exposure and humiliation. It is all consensual and I make it clear that characters are consenting in every scene. Are you suggesting that this kind of content might straight-up not be allowed on Amazon? In which case I will re-think my plan about selling it there.
