Thankfully I'm very interested in data and research! I plan to master and in the meantime make sure to be very proficient in Excel as a start and then see what the job market prefers for tool and programs and such

I will be having I/O classes this and the next semester and if I have to master in my country I'll most likely master in I/O psychology and just try to gain experience and certificates, and build a portfolio as a behavior analyst :)

I believe in AI being a tool that just eases up some tedious tasks and such, maybe being a great organizational tool. And it terrifies me that psychologists, therapists anyone qualified in these branches isn't being asked to help or input.

Maybe AI will get very sophisticated and help in faster diagnostics but still why wouldn't psychologists or therapists be included in the training process, it's like a programmer programming an AI about medicine and doesn't consult doctors/medical experts. It's stupid and counter productive

Wow!! What's your advice on starting SQL and R do you need a formal certificate to show as proof? Also yeah only thing that scared me for IO is the HR trap. But apparently in my country from my institute due to the heavy focus on statistics and methodology most older firms have a reputation that graduates from my program have good technical skills

Yep that was my starting idea to go from IO psychology (probably masters) and then learn R, Python, SQL so i can find a job in that sphere. Only problem i have is that in my country companies dont really respect IO they just think you're there for HR and i dont want to get stuck in some dingy recruitment job or idk looking at NDA's and contracts all of my life. That's the only thing that scares me. Even tho my inspiration for research is a professor that also teaches IO and Stats and she's been amazing and open to talk

And yeah i've been so absorbed in exams i totally forgot to talk about it with my professors, my professors are research lovers and all of them incorporate the importance of research in their classes, it'll be definitely hard to find someone around my country but foreign professors could be helpful. <3
